Sneha Sharma.
A businesswoman, efficient in all means, lead a perfect life with her husband Parth Sharma.Sneha's thought travelled to her ever so beautiful life that she was having.
It was much more than what she would've ever expected .Her train of thoughts broke when the peon knocked the door of her cabin and entered after getting a permission from her.
The man in late forties informed her about time, and that that all other employees had gone and it was pretty late for him too.
She apologised for he had to stay late because of her.
The peon waited for her to leave. Once she did, he turned off the lights and air conditioners and locked the main door, later pulled the shutter down.
Sneha reached home and was welcomed by the waiting arms of her husband who stood by the door and embraced her.
She let her tired self rest there for a while before getting inside.
Parth closed the door behind them.
"I'm hell tired, need a hot shower. Please eat if you're hungry." Sneha said in a feeble tone as she pulled her open hair into a high messy bun.
"Well yes, Husband is hungry." He whispered in her ear, hugging her from back, pushing his head on her neck.
"Ew Parth, get off me. Dirty man."
"As if you're not." He winked.
She pushed him back, struggling to get out of his hold.
She went to her room to pull out some comfy clothes when she saw her daughter on the bed, all focused in drawing something on her sketchbook.
Dhruvi, the 6 year old girl looked up seeing her mother, and smiled.
"What's my princess doing?" She said moving towards the bed. "Family picture huh? Good going, mom will be back soon. Complete it by the time, and we'll have dinner then. Okay?" She kissed her cheeks."Okay mumma." She said before again busying herself in the sketchbook.
Sneha stood at the room door and called for her husband who was in the living room.
"What? Don't you have to bathe?"
"Something's pending so..." she feigned innocence.
"What's it? Don't tell me I gotta get veggies. Pleasee."
She laughed seeing the poor face of her husband.
Parth frowned not knowing the reason his wife was laughing.Sneha, the very next moment, tugged him far from room and pushed him against wall circling her arms around his neck.
Parth understood what she was intending to do. She tilted her face cross, went near his ear and whispered- "poor boy, got in my trap."
And laughed loud before running away to the bathroom. As she entered the bathroom and turned the shower on , she went in a trail of thoughts and a feeling of gratitude towards her stars filled her.
How perfect her life was, with this man beside her, and their symbol of love, filling their lives with happinessShe returned after a relaxing shower and went to kitchen.
"Thanks for standing by me in my worse. I love you." Said sneha to Parth, to whose next she just stood.
"For what are you thanking Sneha. We're life partners. We'll cross hurdles together. Always."
"You didn't reply to my I love you." She looked in his eyes.
"God this girl. I love you." He kissed her forehead.
"I'll heat the food."
.........
"So.. is my princess done with her drawing?" She asked Dhruvi, who stood by the side table of the room.
"Mumma.. my friend Yashvi has come. I am playing with her."
Sneha didn't spot anyone around the room.
"Must be hide and seek. Let's find her together." Sneha ruffled her daughters hair."No mumma, see she's on the bed, playing with my doll."
"No one's there princess.. what are you talking?"
"Mumma. See she's having that favourite doll of mine in her hands."
Sneha glanced at the bed again. There definitely wasn't anybody on the bed.
She was horrified. Her daughter behaved strangely.
She rushed out to her husband in the kitchen.
"Parth.. parth.. Dhruvi is behaving strange.."
"What?" Parth was confused.
"She's saying her friend Yashvi has come and is playing with her favourite doll in our room.. on ..on the bed.
But there's no one there.
Who is she referring to? I'm scared." She said vehemently, continuously stealing glances at the door of their room."Sneha.."
"Parth please come .." she tugged his arm.
Parth with a frowned face shooed her hand.
"Sneha.." his voice now loud.
"Calm down. What are you talking? You okay?"
"Damn it Parth I'm saying this again, Dhruvi says her friend is here and ..." she pointed at their room.
She was stopped midway by Parth's yell of her name , louder than he was ever.
"We don't have a child damn it." Parth yelled yet again, holding his head.
