Inhumanity
My ears throbbed in pain as I heard the firing of bullets to the right. I crouched to the ground and crawled my way behind a crate. I need to get out of here fast. I can't die yet.
"You can run but you can't hide! I'll get those points and be a god!" Joshwin shouted, his voice bouncing off the walls.
Why do I have an infinite amount of points on my head? These points mean nothing but death.
Don't they get it? This game...is nothing more but a large-scaled human sacrifice! Have they lost their morals?
"Where are you? My sweet golden ticket to the heavens?" he crooned while my ears picked up the sounds of shoes hitting the cold marble floor. He's near. Very near. I need to move. But I can't. My strength is deserting me.
I need help, but the Head never gave me a communication device. This mission is a dead end.
In times like this I can do nothing but leave it all to God. There's nothing more I could do. I have multiple cuts, and they won't stop bleeding. The Rebellion can do it without me.I wish I won't die...but I think this is really it.
"For the kingdom...the power..." I sang. It will be better dying if I praise God with my last breath.
"I can hear you! Let me see you!" Joshwin shouted, his voice getting louder.
"And the glory are Yours..."
"Mine! Mine!" He chanted, I could feel his presence near me.
"Now..."
"Found you!" He exclaimed, now in front of me. His eyes looked like a reptile's as his finger was near the trigger.
"And forever-"
Bullets were fired, then I could see nothing but darkness as it wrapped me with its arms. Welcoming me, as I breathe my last.
