Anhel
It looks the same. Same bum porch with the new swing my dad put in for my mom. They would sit there for hours at a time laughing, talking, and just enjoying each other's company.
My moms death took a toll on us, but it was worse for my dad. He lost his soulmate.
Aiden and I sit in the car, just staring at a place we used to call home. Filled with many memories, memories that need to stay buried in the past.
Exiting the car we walk up to the steps in complete silence. Looking at my twin brother he pulls his gun out his waistband gesturing for me to do the same.
Kicking in the door he carefully walks into the house.
"Lina" he says which lets me know it's clear, I walk into the house, my house.
We follow the norm procedure when walking into a unknown situation.
Aiden takes lead while I stay a couple steps behind to watch his back.
As soon Ashe stepped into the living area lights flickered on men came out of the darkness pinning my brother down while stripping him of his weapon.
Stepping back on the balls of my feet, I quietly duck into the room under the stairs.
Leaning against the wall I breathe deeply trying to think of a way get out of this unharmed.
Six men. Give or take.
I have five bullets left.
I've done more with less I think.
Steadying my gun, I kick the door open drawing attention to my self.
Silence rings through the house as they wait to see who comes around the corner.
I wait, it's always better on your terms.
"Come out or we'll shoot Aiden" a voice booms.
So they know who we are, but who are they?
Not moving an inch or saying a word I wait them out, they'll come.
I hear rustling and know I won't have to wait long.
Rounding the corner a big guy comes gun blazing shooting before he even spots me.
Just like I thought.
I grew up in this house, after kicking the door down of the little room under the stairs I sleathly grabbed the stair rails above and hoisted myself atop them.
After he waste his bullets on a broken door, he still hasn't spotted me. Idiot.
He crouches his big frame to get into the room, I quickly manovuer off the the rails landing on silently on the balls of my feet.
Kicking him in the arse he lands with a thump on his face, I quickly grab a hold of the broken piece of the door and stab him in his neck before he has a chance to get up.
Eww, bloods getting everywhere.
Disarming him I check his clip to see there are a couple of rounds left smiling to myself.
As soon as I round the corner a fist connects with my face, making me lose my footing. Falling to the ground, the woman puncher stands atop of me with his gun pointing to my face.
I look around the the room to locate Aiden.
He's being held face down by some muscled brute.
Aiden doesn't like being touched, so this is a pretty funny sight to me.
Woman puncher grabs the gun of his buddy and leans down to my face.
"Pretty girl, too bad you have to die"
Last words, and attempting to have cool sayings get people killed all the time I think to myself.
I sigh, pulling my 9mm from it's safe spot in the side of my jeans I quickly shot him in his chest area.
Hastily grabbing his gun from his hand, I use him as a human shield while eliminating the threats in the living room.
"Took you long enough Aiden say while brushing off his pants. He then proceeds to beat the shit out of the dead guy that was holding him.
Shaking my head I allow myself to get distracted laughing at his antics.
I really missed him.
That's my last thought before I feel a sharp pain on the back of my head knocking me unconscious.
