" You can now proceed to the laboratory. Have a nice day. " says the woman in the filing office and ends our conversation with a smile.
As I enter the room I saw Dr. Kennedy along with many officials. There were also many state-of-the-art machines which I have seen only now. There were big shiny metallic apparatuses attached to many chords, some were even emitting electrical currents. But the one that really capture my attention was the one at the middle. It looked like a giant piece of white rock shaped like an arch, and again attached to wires.
" Mr. Smith. " said Dr. Kennedy. " Please come here. "
" Gentlemen! Today we will take a huge step towards advancement, towards the future, literally. We will be showing you a device that will take away the jobs of historians, take away all the theories of in history, really know what made things what they are today. We will defy the laws of physics, bend space and time.
We used two distinguished minerals here, Quartz, and adamantium. " says Dr. Kennedy.
" Adamantium?! " many voices were saying this in wonder and suprise.
" Yes, the mythical metal known as adamantium. The hardest, most indestructible thing in the universe. We've also discovered it. But that's not what you came here for. " says the doctor.
" We have discovered special properties in quartz crystals that lets us bend space time continuum. Concentrated it so that we will be able to use it as we want to use it. We focused its abilities to the adamantium knowing it will not be destroyed nor be controlled by it. Now here it is, the actual working time machine. After years of study and experimentation, we have finally created it! " exclaimed by Dr. Kennedy with the smile of success in his face.
" Run the machine now to 480 AD! " ordered by Dr. Kennedy.
Large electrical currents were emitted. Noises by machines were heard in every part of the room. Then a great flash awed us all. It came from the stone arch. Then it returned to it, like if a movie was re-winded.
" Haha! " said by Dr. Kennedy aloud with at big grin on his face. " It's a success! the adamantium was able to concentrate the power of the quartz like I expected.
Now John, please step inside the arc and get something from there and return at once here. "
I at once followed his orders. I became nervous for a while then sighed. I closed my eyes then went inside. I felt some kind of force in the arc. When I opened my eyes I saw knights jousting, taverns, castles and many others. I then realized that I was in the middle ages. I grabbed a sword fresh from a fight from the corpse of a knight then returned to the arch shaped light.
" Here, a sword fresh from a battle in the middle ages. " I said to Dr. Kennedy.
" Haha! good job John. " exclaimed the doctor.
" Now lets try 3010 AD. "
*BZZT* A buzz was heard from the time machine.
" What was that?! " said Dr. Kennedy.
" I think it was the changing of time sir. " said by one of his scientists.
" Okay then, now John, please do the honors " again by the head scientist.
I stepped again in the machine. Then it unexpectedly exploded. It was not an ordinary explosion, it was different. Many colors bursted in different waves and places...
