Longing

"Hyung, what are you doing looking at the girls section?"

Jin jumped, startled by the sudden call from his dongsaeng. He was so deep in thought he didn't realize Jungkook was following him.

The boys are currently at America right now. After various interviews and performance, the group decided to hang around the city of Los Angeles. Fortunately, unlike in Korea, they can still roam the city without having trouble fans bothering them. Sure, they got fame in the US as well, but at least not to the point that every person in the corner recognize them.

A rare occurrence that made them feel like a normal person again.

"Uh, nothing, really," Jin lamely said, not having the time to came up with an excuse. He actually wants to search a gift for Jisoo, but since he wants to do it secretly, Jungkook following him is certainly not helping.

Jungkook didn't bought Jin's answer. "Yeah, sure, looking at those aisle for 30 minutes is obviously nothing."

Goddamit this coconut head won't let me go, Jin grumbled in his mind.

"Look," Jin sighed, "I just didn't notice I was wondering around this part for over 30 minutes. It's been awhile since we can roam freely like this, so I got too relaxed and ended up spacing out."

Jungkook seems to buy that.

"Now, can you leave me alone and let me look around by myself?"

Jin wanted to add 'please' but he doesn't want to sound too desperate or suspicious.

"Nahh... I've got nothing to do, hyung. Not in the mood to do some self shopping and I'm not sure where the other hyungs went. So I'll just stick with you."

Jin wanted to curse at that point.

But if pushes Jungkook more, it'll be more suspicious.

"Fine, but don't go ask me to buy something for you," Jin warns, though he is sure (despite not wanting to) it probably going to happen anyways.

"Heheeheh thanks hyung!"

"Do you always spend so much time finding a blouse for your mother?" Jungkook groaned.

Hours before, Jin admitted that he wants to buy a blouse for his mother. Jungkook offered to help, since he is bothering Jin by keep following him. But what Jungkook didn't know, it was actually for the oldest member of YG's latest girl group and Jin will be picky about it.

Originally, Jin wanted to give her a handkerchief. But, he thinks it's too simple and plain. And since he is a sunbaenim, he doesn't want to look cheap. He then thought of accessories, but that might look like as if he was courting her. So he decided on clothes.

He was happy with the conclusion, until in the middle of searching for the blouse he realize that finding a satisfying one for Jisoo is actually hard.

"Of course! I have to give her something that is perfect for her!"

"Oh, God, hyung, it's just a blouse," Jungkook reasoned. "And I'm sure she will be happy with whatever you--"

Jin glared at him.

"You're right, she's a great woman and she deserves the best," Jungkook immediately said.

They continue to walk store through store.

"How about that one, Hyung?" Jungkook pointed out a red blouse with flower print on it.

Jin scanned the blouse. Yes, the color is pretty. The flower print compliments the red colour and it seemed to be able to used for many occasion. The price is also not too high and the fabric is comfortable. But ...

"No can do," Jin shook his head, "the collar is too low. It might show her collarbone."

Jungkook's jaw dropped. "So what? That's not a bad thing! You keep making every blouse here sounds bad. There's ones you said the colour doesn't compliment her eyes, her hair, her skin tone, whatever! And then there's one you say it will make her look shorter, fatter, or curve less. And now you're saying this one bad just because her collarbone might shown? Jesus, hyung, is this for your mom or your goddamn future wife you want to impress?"

Jin froze for a moment. Come to think of it, why did he spend all this time worrying so much about the blouse? It's not like he wanted to impress Jisoo or anything, he just wants to give a small gift of gratitude. He's acting like this gift is a freakin proposal or something.

"Sorry, you're right, I'm being overboard," Jin admitted while scratching his head. He looked at Jungkook, and felt bad that the younger boy is obviously tired and stressed for trying to help him. "I think this red blouse is good, let's buy this one then."

"Oh halleluya, I should've said that in the first place," Jungkook grumbled. "Now since I helped you this past few hours, I think I deserve something as a thank you," he continued, grinning.

Jin groaned. "Fine, I'll buy you something. Let's go to the Timberland store next."

All the tiredness that Jungkook feel suddenly disappeared. "YESSS HYUNGGG!!"

Arriving at the hotel, Jin immediately went to his room. The higher ups decided to let the boys have their own room for awhile to enjoy their break while they lasted.

Feeling satisfied of what he has done today, Jin congratulate himself by taking a nice, hot shower to relax himself.

I hope Jisoo will like my gift, he thought, well knowing her she will probably like and appreciate what I give. But it'll be nice if she would wear it.

"When I meet her again, I'll have to give it to her."

Suddenly realization hit him.

"Wait, I don't have her number."

He groaned. "How can I meet her if we don't know how we will meet?"

Since he knew where she lives, maybe he can go to her dorm? But coming without telling might look rude and she probably doesn't want her other members to know about him to avoid trouble, so that's a big no. Should he walk around every day near her dorm in hopes to have a chance to have an encounter with her? Sounds so desperate and low percentage of it will work, but he can do that. How about waiting until another award show and meet her there? But that spends too much time waiting and other idols might see them.

Sighing, Jin decided the walking around area plan is the one he will do.

He just wish that maybe fate brought them to meet again.

Good news is I got accepted and now I'm happy haha 😂👌 so I'll now back on track
