Hold On

From the Start

My brother and I were in this really bad foster home. They were abusing us and just treating us 

like dogs. Or like a piece of trash throwing away carelessly. But they got in a car accident and 

both died from drunk driving. It's so sad but they never even cared just like or biological parents.

They just basically said that they didn't want us anymore and we got put in the system. So 

we're going in a different home. We've been to more than five different homes. This is most 

likely our seventh home. I can't keep doing this. Moving home to home some of the people not 

even caring, getting drunk, not feeding us, they dont care. I'm so pissed but I got to stay strong 

for Tyler. Im always zoning out just thinking hard about the stuff that's going on.

"Lauren. Lauren. Lauren." Tyler says.

" Hm.. yea."

"We're here.......I'm scared."

"Don't be I will always have your back and protect you. Okay?"

" Okay."

To be honest I was a little nerouvs myself. 

We walk up to the house as I see a mother and three kids. 

"Hi welcome Lauren and Tyler. Your so adorable Tyler. Oh by the way I'm Miss. Williams."

" Thank woo." He said cutely.

"Follow me." 

We follow her what looks like apparently our room. 

"You guys will be sharing a room. I decorated it if that's fine. i wanted you two to be 

comfortable. Your apart of our home now and dinner wil be ready in a few minutes."

We get settled in our room.  She's nicer than all the other people we've had but who knows she could be evil. I head downstairs.

" Dinner is ready guys. So you and Tyler start school tomrrow there is no uniform by the way."

I finally get a good look at the three children two teens a boy and a girl around my age and a little boy about ten I'm guessing. We all sit at the table.

" So Lauren you excited for school." The girl asked.

" Um... yea I guess so."

I wash the dishes and head upstairs for bed

As we drive up tothe school i see gossip girls, the "nerds", the wannabe's, and not gonna be, 

class clowns.

I got to my locker as I see the girl and theboy from the house last night. 

"Hey we never introdued ourselves. I'm Hazel and this is my brother Elijah and the ten year old 

is Liam."

" Do you need any help." Elijah says.

" Thankyou. But no thank you."

I leave my locker and he follows me.

" Independent I see."

" Clingy I see."

"You know the office is the other way." 

"Oh.. Thank you clingy."

"Bye independent."

He's pretty cool. I head to the office and get my schedule. I felt eyes on my every step. I look up and paired my eyes with lovely  ocean sparkling eyes. I take my eyes off him and get to my class.

The day goes on and it's lunch. Miss. Williams packed my lunch. I look around the cafeteria and 

try to find a place to sit. Until I swooped by my arm by Hazel. 

" You can sit with my friends and I."

I sit down next to her and I observe the people at the table.

"  Lauren, this is Levi, Danielle, Elle, Lance, Xander , Cole, and Dylan." Hazel said.

Dylan looks like the funny one always cracking jokes. Xander the bad boy. Cole the kind boy. Elle the I don't care person. Danielle always taking control.  Levi the chill one. 

" Oh Lauren there is someone else he's just not here yet his name is Cameron." Hazel said.

" Your in my seat." a deep voice behind me says. 

" Excuse me." I turn around

"Your in..... "

Whatever I did his eyes softened a little then he put his guard back up. He moved Dylan out of his seat. He just stared at me not in a good way it looks like. All because I was in his seat.

Lunch ended.

" Im sorry for taking your..." he cut me off.

" It's fine." he waved it off and left.

" What's up with Cameron." I asked Hazel.

" He just like that he usually is very cool and sweet but i don't know what's up with him today."

 School ended and I went to my locker just to get my jacket I put in there earlier this morning. I grabbed my jacket and looking at the ground while walking. I bumped into someone. Dang their chest is hard. Paper's ended up flying everywhere.

I picked most of them up quickly. 

" Sorry I didn't see you." I apoligized.

" Yea sure you didn't."  

" I said I'm sorry." I said to Cameron.

I walked away from that brick wall of anger. I decided I could walk home it wasn't that far plus I could use the exercise. I get home and start working on homework. Kissed Tyler good night and fell asleep thinking about Cameron and why he was like that. I mean he's fine but why the attitude.
