I've been working in the insane asylum for a few years now and these people aren't monsters like the staff made them out to be. They are all just misunderstood and people don't give them time to warm up to them. I at least try to interact with them to get to know them better. I don't get why everyone can't give them a chance.

With all ranting aside, I'm Jason Newsted and I work as the person who deliver meals to patients. It's a risky job but I don't mind. I like talking to the patients in this facility. I usually wait around the kitchen area so I can get the cart and start my routine. I was looking at a clock nearby when I heard shouting and cursing.

"Don't touch me! I said don't fucking touch me! I will motherfucking kill you if you don't let go!"

I walk over to the commotion and see a raven haired male in his 20's struggling to get out of the nurses' grip. He was in a straight jacket and had a human muzzle covering his mouth because he apparently bit someone. This is the type of stuff that happens everyday and I'm pretty much used to it. This raven haired individual was still cursing and his eyes were a cold and wild blue. I think this was the one that was brought in a few months ago.

No one knows his name as he basically hates everyone here. He usually has to be brought out by two people because he refuses to leave on his own accord. I usually deliver his meal last as he is on the top floor. He used to just stare at me but he is warming up to me but he gives me one to three word answers. But that is process right?

I watch the nurses drag him into the elevators and sigh heavily. I go back to the kitchen area and grab the first cart that is ready. I start my daily routine until I get to the top floor. I slide in his food through the slot on the bottom of the floor and I take this chance to look in. He glares at me until he recognizes me. He slowly comes out of his dark corner and to the door. He sits by the door and leans against it. I ask him gently "What is your name, sweetheart?" I call all the patients 'sweetheart' to let them know I mean no harm to them.

He takes a bit to respond but he answers in a voice that is soft and quiet, " My name is Vincent Furnier but I go by Alice Cooper." Hm... Alice Cooper. That's the name that has been among the staff's tongue. So that's what they were who they were referring to. I thought as I look at the little bit of his hand that is exposed.

I can tell he's shaking a bit, probably from the coldness of the air and floor. "Here. I brought you a blanket that should keep you warm in this winter weather", I inform him in a calm and gentle voice while feeding the huge and fluffy blanket through the tray slot. This should keep him warm and cozy through winter. I was having trouble until he sees what I was doing and pulled the blanket through.

We got to talk for a little bit longer and he told me the reason for him being here was because he killed his parents because they treated him like shit. I don't blame him from lashing out like that because they worsen his mental problems. They messed him up and now I'm going go make sure he gets the love and care he deserves from me. He didn't deserve to be treated like that.

I gently told him I had to go and that I will come back later to check up on him. He didn't want me to go but he understands I had to. I just need to spend more time with him to know his backstory and figure out how to care for him. I just hope he doesn't kill anyone else or hurt anyone.

I'm fearing for my life but this has to be done.
