Mondays always seem to be my worst days. I think it's because people finally have another chance to make me feel bad. I used to try to have friends until the eighth grade. That's when I met Jamie Meyers. In order to explain Jamie, I'd have to tell you about my first day at school in Missouri. I had moved there only a few days before, and I was actually pretty excited about going to a new school; it looked like a fresh start. I bought new clothes and school supplies and I straightened my hair. For a little while, I thought I might actually make some friends. I walked into first period and sat towards the back. Jamie and her friends sat in the middle so that everyone could see and hear them no matter where they were.

"Hey, you!" She said, looking straight at me. "What's your name?"

"Uh... Sadie." I replied shakily. I was always shy.

"Cool. I'm Jamie." She went through her posse and introduced all of them. I felt welcomed, something that I didn't feel too often. They invited me to sit with them, and I listened intently as they told me about everyone in homeroom; Lucy was a freak, Steve was super smart and Jordan was a jock. I listened for a few minutes longer before the teacher came in and quieted us down. "Hey, I'm having a party on Friday night. You should totally come!" Jamie said to me.

"Oh, uh... okay!" The week flew by after that. Finally, Friday night came. My dad drove me to Jamie's house and told me to be home by 11 o'clock. As I stepped out of the car, I was surprised to see no people in the windows. Maybe they're all upstairs...

When I finally reached the door, I clicked the doorbell and waited apprehensively.

"Hey loser!" A familiar voice called. I looked up to see Jamie and her friends, all holding buckets of water. Instantly, they tipped them over, drenching me. They snickered and laughed and from then on I knew this wasn't a nice place.

So that is the legend of Jamie Meyers, which will be told for years to come. Today, Jamie is just as rotten as before, but now she has an even bigger posse. She's the captain of the cheerleading squad (of course) and her parents are filthy rich. She's the classic queen bee and no one has bothered to do anything about it because there is nothing to do.

Every other girl at my school tries to be like her, and every other guy at my school tries to be like Jordan Cox. To explain him more simply than Jamie, everyone loves him because he's the star of our Varsity football team (even though he's only a sophomore). Every girl in the school wants him, and he uses it to torture them. He's just as sinister as Jamie; actually the only difference is gender. And all of this is only my school life. Really, to me everything is just a blur.
