"Give me that necklace now Weasley, or you'll be in detention for the rest of the year" Snape growls at Ginny holding his hand out impatiently.

"No sir, the owner has chosen me to wear it," she says flatly.

"There's dark magic on that necklace, you dont know what your in for" Snape snaps almost worrying for the girl before him.

Harry treds up the stairs angrily, muttering to himself, "all I did was laugh, a laugh. Ridiculous" He turns down the corridor heading back to the common room, only to see Ginny and Snape stood in the middle. He waits a while behind a pillar to try understand the situation he's walked into.

"...you don't know what your in for" Ginny shrugs and attempts to walk away but gets stops by Snape grabbing her arm.

Harry storms straight towards them gripping onto his wand. "What's going on?!" Harry stands at Ginnys side and glares at where Snapes hand is gripped onto Ginny. Snape lets go and gives Harry a stern cold look.

"Out of detention I see Potter, well your just in time"

"For what?" Harry says through gritted teeth.

"Your..." Snape looks between Harry and Ginny suspiciously, "friend here," he continues, "has got a necklace on that's filled with dark magic, and is refusing to take it off"

Out of the corner of his eye Harry sees Ginny slowly moving away, he grabs her wrist to stop her from leaving. Snape continues more impatient then ever "given your history, I bet you'll have a better chance of taking it from Weasley" Harry's stomach turns.

Harry moves his hand from Ginnys wrist and slides his hand into Ginnys and leads her into an empty classroom. "I'm not taking it off!" She screams.

Harry leaps forward and covers Ginnys mouth. "Be quite... please" Ginny nods.

"Who gave you the necklace Gin?" He asks worryingly, going through a list of people's names in his head, crossing some out mentally.

"Master gave it too me"

"Master? Whos your master?" Ginny shakes her head. Harry sighs and looks around the classroom for help. He sees various bits and pieces but none that would help. "What does your master want?" Harry asks trying to find out the most he can, Ginny just looks at him, as if she didn't hear the question. "Ginny? Did you hear me?" He asks softly.

"Hear what?" She whispers with no emotion. Harry suddenly has an erge to hold her close to him, to keep her safe. He holds her hands and looks her in the eye, her breathing changes slightly. Ginny wines and moves her hands up to her head as if in pain. Harry not knowing what to do pulls her in, his arms wrap round her and he brings her close. Ginny jolts in shock but eases and hugs Harry back.

They stay like this for a while. Harry knows Ginny is still in there and he needs to get her out. He moves his hands up from her back and to her hair, he strokes it lightly and whispers in her ear "Ginny I know your in there, please fight it. You don't deserve this. You've been through enough, come on listen to me. You've helped me through so much and I can't thank you enough for it. Ron needs you, Hermione needs you, your family needs you. I need you..." he trails off.

"Harry?" Ginny whispers, her voice cracking slightly. Harry looks at her, his hands rub up and down her arms. "Get this thing off of me" she cries, Harry wipes her tears and puts his fingers around the necklace.

"No!" Ginny screams.

"Fight it" Harry shouts back. He quickly lifts the neackace up and over her head. Before its fully over, Ginnys hands reach up and grab Harry's wrists. Harry meets her eyes, the sunken expression on her face again.

"Leave it alone" Ginnys demands sternly. Harry lets go and rubs Ginnys cheek, trying to get every piece of emotion Ginny has. Her hands freeze, in one movement Harry grabs them both and holds them down. He looks back up at Ginny, her eyes wide and glassy.

"Trust me" Harry leans in and kisses her. Ginny relaxes into him, hands falling out of his grip and resting on Harry's chest. As Harry pulls away he rips the necklace off Ginnys neck and throws it to the floor.

Ginnys knees go weak and she collapses into Harry's arms. Harry lowers them both down onto the floor and hugs Ginny. Her arms tightly wrap themselves around his torso. Harry places one hand on her back and the other on her head, he comforts her and plays with her hair. "Its okay, it's off. Your going to be alright"

After Ginny calms down Harry takes Ginnys hand and they make their way back to the common room. Ginny runs upstairs and gets the casing and note that was left on her bed. They go back through the portrait and up to McGonagall's office.

When they get there they place it on her desk "I see you've got it off" she says to them, "go back up to your rooms unless you feel you need Madam Pomfrey. I'll have Snape look at it and report back if anything comes through" McGonagall says more towards Ginny.

Going into the common room they see Ron and Hermione sat on the sofa. "Hi" Ginny awkwardly says, Hermione and Ron jump up and hug them both.

"Where have you been?" Hermione asks.

"And why are you holding hands?" Ron adds. Harry and Ginny look at eachother shocked and let go. It felt so natural to both of them, they blush and look down

"So what happened?" Hermione asks again.

Harry explains the story and Ginny joins in with the bits she remembers. After, they all go to bed wondering who gave Ginny the necklace. But Harry and Ginny have something else on there minds. Why did it feel so natural to hold eachother? Because they kissed does this mean they have true feelings for eachother?"
