"Did he ask you out?" Mitch asks as he and I were in my kitchen drinking coffee.

"Mitch you're obsessed," I respond.

"He said he'd ask you out this week," Mitch says remembering what I told him about the fire pit and cocoa.

"Don't worry it'll happen when it does. You can't rush these things," I reply.

"Can't rush what?" Scott asks as he joins us.

"How'd you get in?" I ask.

"Secrets, but what can't you rush?" Scott asks ignoring me.

"We're waiting for Avi to ask her out," Mitch responds calmly.

"Mitch!" I yell as I hit him.

"The hell!" He yells back.

"I told you not to tell anyone," I say.

"Scott and I are one person remember," Mitch implies.

"Fine, but yes I like Avi and he likes me. We had a moment at fire pit with cocoa and blanket. He knows about Micheal and mentioned he would've asked me out but he said he'll wait for a better moment," I tell Scott as I see his face shocked and not saying anything. "I'm going for a swim."

I went upstairs to go change into my swimsuit. When I get back downstairs I see Avi and everyone else in the kitchen.

I didn't say anything as I just walked to the back laying my towel out. Turning on my speaker then jumping in the water.

I swam at the bottom for a long time clearing my head. I can't help, but think about Micheal.

My ex Micheal died in a car accident his brain died before he even got to the hospital. Being with Avi and spending the time we have as friends he reminds me a little bit of Micheal.

"Hey you mind I join you?" Avi asks.

"Go ahead," I respond as he removes his shirt and I can't help, but feel myself drool a little as he walks in.

I'm not usually fan of guys with chest hair and facial hair, but some odd reason I don't mind him.

"Kristine," I hear him say as he splashes me with water.

"Avi!" I squeal as I splash him back which turns into a water fight.

I feel him pick me up spinning me around making me squeal as he throws me in.

I rise up and automatically I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrap his arms around my waist. Our bodies moved closer as we leaned till our lips melt.

I knew then and there. There was no more turning back. My heart has set its course.

We soon pull away resting our foreheads against each other catching our breaths. I can't help smile as I lift my head up looking at him and just at how I am just.

"That was unexpected," I say.

"It was and I wanna do it again," Avi says as our lips meet again.

"Wait," I say as I pull away. "So does this mean we are dating?"

"I guess so," Avi responds thinking about it.

"Well," I say as I unwrap myself from Avi and climbing out of the pool. "We'll continue after the date tomorrow?"

Avi nods as I walk inside to see the others smirking at me as I go in my room. My heart was still beating.

I see a picture of Micheal and I along with the necklace he got me. I can't help but think about him as I take a seat on my bed.
