High School Drama

Chapter 3

    "I...I...really?!?!" I know that wasn't the most romantic response but I didn't really know what else I could say at the time. I quickly backed a few spaces back and sat on a rock".

     "Umm...Is that a no?? Or is that a surprised yes cause you didn't know that we would all be here and jump out at you" he chuckled.

    He walked over to were I was sitting and knelt down, he then tilted my chin up and leaned his lips to mine. It felt wonderful but I guess that I didn't know what it felt like because no one had ever kissed me before. I pulled away to gasp for a few seconds worth of air and while I was still dazed he asked me if I still wanted to go to prom with him or if even though he just kissed me I felt nothing".

   "YES!!"

    I replied quickly thinking that this was one strange dream that I would wake up from and he would be all hurt and mad at me for refusing him. I ran over to him and put my arms around his neck and pressed his lips to mine again. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself I muttered".

     "It's ok-k-k he stuttered". He pulled a rose out of the bouquet and tucked it behind my ear. A special present for the royal princess he smirked. He bowed down to me and buried his nose in my neck.

    "Down, dog, down" I laughed. He backed away and pounced on me going roarrr!. Ok... I slowly backed away, then I went around the side of my house and slipped in through the back door. I loved that I finally got what I wanted. But at the moment it didn't feel that romantic. Maybe I should have just picked someone a little easier to handle I thought. It was to late to back away now and well, I've never been in a "relationship" before. Bedside's it made me feel depressed that it felt like he was under a spell or something. I went to the bathroom and rummaged for some blue and purple die. I found one bottle that was almost empty but I didn't really care. I shook it and sprayed the bottle around my hair. Then I went into my room and put on my little Halloween pumpkin earrings. The theme for the prom this year was Halloween but I guess it was better than nothing. My dress had a "fake" tear in it, going down through the middle. It was black with little blue and purple swirls. Today was prom night and I wasn't exactly ready so I grabbed all my goth items and put them on. A few hours later I was eating apple crisps and watching The E! When the doorbell rang.

      "I got it mom"! I swiftly reached the door in one stride and there was my "prince charming". He was wearing a black tuxedo with a little red bow and a skull earring in his left ear. I hooked my arm through his and he opened the passenger door right when I reached it.

     "Ready to go?" He got in the car and started heading towards the prom. When we got there we walked in together and separated at the punch ball. I started walking around the room admiring the decorations, while he went over towards the dance floor. I soon joined him and the theme song of "The Night Before Christmas" went on. He wrapped his arms around my waist and we danced for about an hour to a lot of my favorite songs. Then I got tired and I went around the room looking for my other best friend Lilia. I found her sulking by the punch bowl, frowning.

    "What happened I asked"?

    "The commodity team and I worked so hard to make the punch bowl red and black, but look at now?!?! It changes colors from pink to green she cried. No one, want's a pink and green punch ball at a Halloween party!!  Bedside's, We didn't really work that hard on the food because the food was supposed to revolve around the punch bowl, so we have a mood punch bowl with black and red cookies, she sighed".

    "I'm sorry, I went over and hugged her. So what happened to your date, I thought that you were going to join up with Aria and you two were going to dance the night away, switching your dates around, I chuckled. I know that I said I was just going to stick to my own date but that's because I'm not a cheater, I teased".

   "What, huh?? Sorry I didn't hear I word you just said".

     "Lilia?!?! What were you doing, thinking of your date naked or something?? Look you should relax and try to have some fun for once!! Look, I can be tense also but seriously, your going to ruin this for me! I whaled".

     "Umm... I think it's a little late for that she cried". She spun me around and pointed towards my date, he was dancing with another person, kissing her and laughing,and inching his hand, farther, and farther down her back".

   "What the hell?!?!" I marched over to Sean and confronted him.

  "Do you mind?!" he sighed annoyed. Look, the only reason I drove you here, was because my mom said that I couldn't go alone, and Arias mother hate's me, he sighed again. Loo-".

  "REALLY?!?! You @#%#%&*#%#@!!" I started going into hysterics. I ran past Lilia and into the door. "Ouch! I muttered".

   I picked myself up and shoved the door open. Luckily, It wasn' t a full moon for a week, so I ran into the forest and didn't look back. The hours passed. 1,2,3,4...When I thought I was in the middle of the forest I heard people shouting my name".

   "VIOLET!?! VIOLET"?!?

  "WHERE ARE YOU??"

   The voices started to fade,as the people screaming for me started to get hoarse. I didn't care, no one would ever find me. These day's I loved the night. I would sit in my backyard for hours just star watching constellations.. I shifted into a position, where I was laying on my back watching the moon and the stars. I just lay there letting myself slip into a deep slumber and hoped for whatever came to me...
