We'll meet again
Don't know when
Don't know when
But I know
We'll meet again

Some sunny day

The radio was turned on. It played an old Jonny Cash tune that Šime remembered hearing once before in his early years.

It's like that one song that you hear when you are little and the tune gets stuck in your brain, yet you don't remember the song.

We'll meet again. Šime was again thinking. He was sitting alone in his room, mindlessly staring though the window.

He was getting bored.

There was nothing to do, except maybe jack off. (Or read a book, but let's be real here, he's not the book worm type.)

Buuuut- Šime was not in the mood for neither , so he just sat still in his chair and stared at the weird looking trees outside his bedroom window.

Maybe later, he thought, maybe later.

The outside was getting darker and darker as no sunshine reached the ground. At first it was raining, then it was pouring.

Šime quickly glanced at the clock.

6:01 pm. The day passed and the night was soon to begin.

The guests will arrive soon, too and they'll start living together.

He was about to meet his old friend (well, Šime would not use the word friend when describing Dejan) after not seeing the him and his whole family for almost 10 years.

His mother meet Dejan's dad a long time ago. They met at college and they were roommates.

They had a long past, were really good friends and in contact. After the both families lost members they came to conclusion that it would be a great idea, when the time was right  to both live together, it would be easier for both families to protect themselves in this dangerous world.

Šime can't recall many memories of Dejan and his family, after all he was young, but the ones that he can don't make Dejan look nice.

He remembers Dejan being rude to him and teasing him.

Once when they were small he even left him alone in the woods and, Šime being totally clueless to where he should go, got lost.

It was never destined for them to be friends, Dejan was the older, aggressive kid while Šime was the young, naive kid.

Šime never liked the guy and by the time when they were teenagers, they were polar opposites and strongly disliked each other.

What an ass, he maybe didn't knew Dejan as a person, but he has definitely heard stories about him

He knew about his past and that he also lost a parent, but still disliked him as a person.

Maybe Dejan changed as a person, and they could finally get along.

That is a possibility.

He, again, quickly glanced at the clock to look at the time.

6:06 pm.

Has only a couple of minutes passed since the last time he checked the clock?

Time was passing slower than an old lady crossing the road.

God, sometimes he wished the the great apocalypse they keep talking about would already happen and end all of his misery.

In realization that he was bored and, now, extremely tired, Šime slowly lowered his head on the table, slowly bumped his head against it and then he just leaned with his full body against the table.

Life.

If he could have been laying for hours like that, he would do it, but then something interrupted his leisure time.

There was a ringing sound coming from downstairs, and only seconds after the ringing was followed by voices.
