Birthday

Sunday, September 19, 1999

I slept in til 9 am. Without opening my eyes, I felt around for Draco. I looked on his nightstand for any sign he was still here. Nothing! I got up, put on a shirt, and ran out of our room. I looked off of the balcony and saw Draco standing there, cooking. I walked down the stairs.  I wrapped my arms around his stomach.

"Good Morning!" He said turning around. "Morning!" I said. Ding Dong!  I walked to the door and saw a package on the floor. "Where's that from?" Draco asked as I brought a  big package in. "Australia!" I squealed as I started opening it. There was a lot in the box. I took out a book that had a note attached.

Dear Hermione Granger,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  How are we turning 20 this year?  I can't believe we are soooo old! Now we have real responsibilities! It sucks! Anyways, enclosed in this huge box, you will find a looooooot (Your Welcome). On the very top, you will find a pastel blue book that you could use for songwriting.

I pulled out the book and looked at it.

Next, you will find a black sweatshirt, a pastel pink sweatshirt, and

I pulled out the sweatshirt and unfolded it. I hugged it and continued reading.

I also got you an outfit for your birthday party that I know your having. There are a white floral print short maxi skirt and a plain pastel pink tank top. Tuck the top into the high waisted maxi skirt.

I pulled out the beautiful outfit when Draco put my breakfast right next to me. "Wow! That outfit is beautiful!" Draco said as he slipped his hand around my waist."I know!"

Next, you will see a pair of black high-heeled knee-high boots that go amazing with the outfit.

I took out the beautiful shoes and placed them on top of the outfit.

Now, it may look like the box is empty, but if you look at the very bottom of the box, you will find tickets. Not just any tickets, but tickets to my modeling gig in Australia. Enclosed there are 6 tickets. One for you, one for Draco, one for Blaise, one for Ginny, one for Harry, and an extra just in case. I look forward to seeing you soon, 'Mione! Happy Birthday!

"Oh yeah, and... Happy Birthday, 'Mione!" He told me as he sat down with me at the table. "Thank God! I thought you forgot!" I said as I moved the box off the table. "I would never!" He said as he picked up his fork. "Draco, we've been dating for 6 months! If I wasn't friends with...R- Ron... for so long, he would've forgotten my birthday!" I said as I took a bite of my bacon. We laughed.

"Good Morning, Draco! Morning, 'Mione!" Narcissa said to me us as she walked down the stairs. "Hey, Mom! I cooked this morning." He said as he took another bite of his breakfast. "Really? Whats the special occasion?" She asked as I almost choked on my food. Draco facepalmed. "Mom, I told you last night! Today's Hermione's birthday!" He said as I laughed.

"Oh, 'Mione! Im sorry!" Narcissa said in an apologetic tone. "It's really fine, Narcissa. We have never really talked." I say shoving my face with the delicious meal. "I will go get you a present right now!" She said. "Narcissa! You don't have too!" I reassured her. "Ok..." She said walking to the couch.

We both swallowed the rest of our food and I got up. "Wait! I got your present!" He said as I was walking up the stairs. "Draco, you didn't have too!" I say as I walked down the stairs. He grabbed a neatly wrapped present and handed it to me. I slowly opened it realizing what it was. I jumped on top of Draco as he quickly grabbed me so I didn't fall. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said kissing him.
