{Dante's Stupid room}There was one time, when I almost got eaten by a rottweiler. I could remember that that dog was a stray, and he had foam coming from his mouth. That fear was nothing compared to what I was feeling.
It was nothing like how I was feeling.
When I had woken up, I was back in that stupid room. It all seemed unreal.
I was afraid to move, so afraid that I believed that if I let out a breath, someone would come barging through that door. I felt sick to my stomach, and my heart beat was beating at irregular velocities.
My side hurt like hell, and it pained me to try and move around. I had no other choice but to stare up at the stupid ceiling. I had no intentions of waiting for someone to come through that door. And that's what was scaring me even more. I wouldn't know when one of them would be coming.
Crap.
Slowly, I moved my arm to pull up the blanket. When I lifted it up I was shocked to see gauze all around my waist, and not just that. There was a little blood bleeding through the gauze.
I don't know why, but I pocked at it. And, it hurt. It was painfully pulsing.
" Is she awake yet?" I heard from outside my door.
My heart picked up on it's heavy beating and fast pounding. I pulled the covers all the way over my body and turned on my side.
I was moving a little to quickly for my injury which started hurting three times more than before. I hissed and slowly inhaled a shaky breath before carefully laying down on the pillow.
Knock. Knock.
I waited for a voice.
But only got shuffling noises behind the door.
I could tell that whoever was outside of my door, were debating if they should come in. The whispering was indistinct. And even if I did hear what they were saying I wouldn't know any Italian.
The small chatter quieted down and the unlocking of the door caught my attention.
Tightly I closed my eyes and prayed they wouldn't come lift these blankets up.
There was a lot of gibberish going on between the males that stepped into my room.
"Shh!" I heard one of the shush. As the soft paddle of their feet walking on the carpet sounded throughout the room.
" Do you think she's awake?" I heard one of them whisper, the feeling of their presence getting closer.
" If she was awake, she'd be asking us to get her out." One of them stated. My eyes popped open and my breathing sounded.
Did they know?
"I don't think she would-"
"- to scared to talk." One of them whispered back.
" Well why the hell are we in here watching her like she already isn't scared of us, huh?" One of them snapped. I could hear the strain in this persons voice and how annoyed he was becoming with the situation.
Oh no. That wasn't Vito was it? It sounded like something he would say.
" She was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. It's no one's fault." I heard the other justify.
" Wrong place, wrong time my ass. That's chicken shit and you know it!" Vito snapped his voice raising just a little above a whisper.
" Would you shut up already! You're gonna wake her up you piece of shit."
