The rest of our day flies by, which makes me very sad. I want to stay the night with him, really bad. His parents nor siblings are home yet and my family hasn't contacted me at all, so, I don't know. Adam decides to call his mom and see what's up. He puts her on speaker so I can hear what's going on too because I am also very concerned.

"Hi, honey, what's up?" she answers, sweetly.

"Hi, mom, you okay?" he answers, slightly concerned.

"Perfectly fine, sweetheart."

"Where are you guys?"

"Oh, I didn't tell you! I have a business trip in Georgia and your father is taking Daisy and Steven to Michigan for their performances. We should all be home on Saturday."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm sorry, honey. It just totally slipped my mind."

"It's okay, mom. But, since I'm going to be home alone, can a friend stay over for the week so I have someone in case anything happens?"

"Sure, Adam. Just in case you need them, condoms are in my bathroom cupboard above the sink and lube is right next to it."

"Mother, I did not need to know that, thank you."

"Well, your 'friend' might appreciate it."

"Who do you think my 'friend' is?!"

"Obviously it's going to be Stephanie!"

"Why do you say that?"

"Because I wasn't born yesterday, dear. You guys have had the hots for each other since you were in middle school!"

"Okay, mom. I'm done with this conversation. I'm glad you're safe. I love you, bye."

"Bye, sweetie," they both hang up and Adam looks at me extremely embarrassed.

"I am so sorry about her," he starts to blush. I kiss his cheek.

"It's okay, we may need those two things."

"Wait, what?"

"Who knows what five days, alone, in the same house will do."

"Do you not remember what happened like ten minutes ago?"

"I do, but us dating is new, we have to ease our way into it."

"That's what she said," I lightly slap his arm.

"You're so immature!" I chuckle.

"Only for you, baby," he leans down and kisses my lips softly.

"I should probably ask if I can sleep over," I say, after pulling away. I dial my mom's number and put her on speaker.

"Hi, Stephanie!" she says, a tad too cheery.

"Hi, momma! Where are you?"

"Colorado with your dad and sister for her gymnastics competition."

"Oh, yeah! That's this week!"

"Yeah, we should be home on Saturday."

"Well, in that case, can I stay at a friend's house until then?"

"Sure, honey."

"Thanks mom!"

"You're welcome! Oh, and Adam?"

"Yes?" he says, nervously.

"Don't get my daughter pregnant." With that, she hangs up the phone.
