I was walking down Finders St one day, taking in all of my surroundings. The birds chirping in the trees, the way the leaves of those trees rustled in the slight breeze, the way that breeze cooled the back of my neck from the heat of summer.
During my walk, I spotted a child selling candy in the sun. The poor kid didn't have any shade, or any place to at least sit down on besides the ground. I walked up to the child,
"Hey sweetie, do you want some water or something to cool you down? It's pretty hot out here." I offered the child. He shook his head no.
"No miss, I just need currency. I am selling candy, would you like to buy some?" He asked politely.
I was confused as to why the kid called it currency, but I didn't question it. I pulled out my wallet to get some money to buy some candy from the kid, but as my luck goes, I didn't have any money.
I frowned, "Sorry kiddo, I don't have any money with me."
The kid looked confused for a second, but nodded. "It's okay. I can get currency from you tomorrow. You can just take the candy now."
I nodded and promised to come back tomorrow with some money. The kid gave me another confused look, but then shrugged. I walked away from the kid, feeling bad for not being able to give him any money.
As I walked toward my home, I opened the piece of hard candy that I was given and popped it in my mouth. It had a very sour taste, but I didn't mind.
After a few minutes I started to feel dizzy. I stopped for a moment, trying to regain my balance. Once I felt stable I started walking again. I suddenly lost my balance and fell over, my head hitting the concrete sidewalk hard. My sight faded in and out for a moment before everything went black.

                             . . .
My head was pounding, my throat was very sore, and my whole torso had a searing pain coursing through it  as I came to slight consciousness.
I moaned in pain as I tried to move, but I couldn't seem to. I opened my eyes and I was immediately blinded by a very bright light.  After my sight adjusted, I realized that I was in some sort of lab. Not knowing how I got there, I panicked. I looked at my hands, which were tied and chained to the wall. I struggled with the restraints a bit before giving up. I looked down to see if my feet were chained as well, but as I looked down something......else...caught my attention. I screamed loudly, now feeling my torso flare up in even more of a sharp pain then it already was in. I screamed more and started sobbing from the pain and the sight of my intestines hanging from my cut open torso.
I threw up on the floor, but the action just made the pain nearly unbearable. I screamed louder than I ever have from the pain, and I sobbed more, my face now soaked with tears.
I looked back down hesitantly, still screaming and crying from the pain, and noticed that not only were intestines hanging out; there were parts of them missing as well. I got a strong  urge to vomit again, but I somehow held back, not wanting to be in even more pain.
I started to grow tired. My eyelids started to droop. I struggled to keep them open, knowing what would happen if I succumbed to the sleep that awaited me.
I then heard a voice, a childs voice.
"I have the currency now miss. I'm sure Pa will be very happy that you kept your word." I knew that voice all too well. It was the kid from before. I tried to lift my head to look at the child, but I couldn't. "You should get some sleep now, customers always get tired for some reason after paying. Have a nice rest!" He said happily. I then heard footsteps and a door open and close.
Finally, I failed to keep my eyes open any longer. They fluttered shut, and eventually the pain went away; Eventually, my consiousness faded out into nothing.
