Ikedinachi was in the canteen eating when he sighted a group of campus guys discussing what seemed to be a very important issue to them. Following long minutes of eavesdropping, he decided to join them. From what he gathered, they were discussing about ways of helping each other travel abroad, and all that revolved around it. They talked about cases whereby some students had abandoned their studies in order not to waste such a 'golden opportunity' as they termed it.

He spotted Emeka, who was the one he knew among others and he went closer to them.

"Hey! Guy, how far?" he started by greeting Emeka and then shook hands with all of them one after another. He was very careful to make sure he wasn't with the wrong set of guys and probably not at the wrong time too. Emeka excused himself from the group and left with Ikedinachi.

"What's up?" Emeka asked. "We were having an important discussion before you showed up"
"I know. I know, and I don't want to keep you for long," Ikedinachi interrupted him before he could complete his sentence.
"Em... sorry I shouldn't have listened to your discussion," Ikedinachi stammered.
"Were you guys really serious about the abroad stuff?"

Emeka could not help laughing at him. "Of course, we are. I can't believe anyone can ask such a dumb question. Do we look like small boys to you?" Emeka bluffed.
"I will have to go back now, we shall discuss later during the week."
"Alright. Thanks," Ikedinachi said and left for the hostel.

"Sorry guys I'm back," Emeka pleaded with his colleagues. "Hope I did not miss any vital information?" He sat down and joined the discussion once more.
They were almost through and were about to go their separate ways before one of them asked.
"Mekus, who was that guy and what does he want?"
"He is a friend. He somehow overheard us and seems interested."
"Hahaha!" they all laughed.
"He thinks we deal with poor boys, tell him it involves raw Cash. Money!"
They went their separate ways.

As Ikedinachi headed towards the hostel, he thought of the guys he just met and how they knew much about abroad despite being students like him. He shook his head and said to himself that if it was a genuine idea that he would like to be part of it. He has always dreamed big about life. Moreover, if there is a place better than his country, he would love to know what that place looks like if luck is on his side.

It was as though he had forgotten every other thing going on around him as his thoughts were now filled with what life would be abroad. The next day, he saw Obinna and broke the news to him, but to his greatest surprise, Obinna was not excited about the whole idea. Ikedinachi had wanted to plan with him and hoped their plans work out but not when Obinna seemed apathetic. He tried to seek his opinion. Obinna has no relative abroad, and the idea of living outside his country sounded strange to him. He preferred a calm and calculated lifestyle, unlike Ikedinachi who is adventurous.

"I don't think I'm interested, I can't handle such thoughts now. Besides, where do I start from?" "Well, if everything works out for you, I wouldn't mind paying you a visit." "You and Ifeoma, right?" he asked Ikedinachi.

Ikedinachi was not happy with the kind of response he got from his friend. He made him understand that he had told him because he thought it was a wonderful idea and he didn't want to keep it from him but since he was not interested and did not support him, he would try and see what he could make out of it all.

Obinna felt bad and apologized to him. He told him not to misunderstand him and assured him that he has his full support. He equally warned him to ascertain that Emeka and his colleagues were being honest before getting involved with them.

Ikedinachi agreed with him and made him understand that he had that in mind as he still has a long time to decide what he wanted and then make a decision.
