You laid your head on your mother's lap, her hand softly petting your hair. Your eyes were red and puffy. They stung and felt so dry. You had been crying all night, disbelief about the truth of your situation. Your mother, who remained calm, had only cried for a short time and then composed herself. She had claimed she knew it was going to happen. Your father, who was a complete asshole to you now, had left you and your mother with little to no money. You both were waiting for your mom's best friend, Layla to pick you up with her husband Josh. Once they pulled up in their suv, you sat up, rubbed your eyes once more, and helped your mother with the bags.

After you finished putting the last bag into the back, you shut the door and went around the side to climb into the car. When you got in and say down, your mother gently took your hand in hers and gave it a light squeeze.

"Hey Evelyn. Good to see you." Layla says to your mom, turning around to smile at you two. She reaches a hand out for you to take, and when you do, she rubs her thumb over it. "How are you doing, sweetie?"

"My dad's an ass, but I'm okay."

Your mother laughs softly, "Layla, I don't know how to thank you for this. I know you have a full house with the boys." Layla waves your mom's words away.

"It's quite alright. You're like my sister, Lucy."

"Besides," Josh says, glancing at you in the rearview mirror, "the boys can't wait to meet you, Rose." I nod at his words and then stop.

"Wait." Your mother and Layla both glance at you. "Boys?"

"Yeah, didn't I tell you?" Your mom questions. You stammer and stare at her.

"No!" You shout as Josh pulls up to a two story house that is yellow with white trimming.

Your mom and Layla giggle. "Oops." She hops out of the car, grabs her bags, and makes her way inside with Layla. You groan and get out of the car, grabbing your bags and stand in front of the house.

"Hey!" You shout at your mom and Layla.

Josh walks up besides you and swings an arm around your shoulders. "Don't worry, Holly. You'll love it here." You laugh and both make your ways inside.

Once you step through the door, your world changes. You see two handsome young men, one taller, only by a few inches, than the other, but with a younger face. You seemed to watch the taller one more, and maybe it was because of the way he was staring at you with gorgeous dark eyes, or maybe it was the fact that he was shirtless and looked very appetizing. His face a little red at the fact he was caught shirtless.

Both boys had black hair, honey skin, and dark brown eyes. One brother has hair that is longer on top with an undershave and full lips while the other has longer hair on top with the back cut short and lips that looked very soft and full.

The shorter of the two stuck out his hand for you first. "The names Park. Alec Park. I'm 22." You laugh at the reference to James Bond and he smiles softly at you as you rest your hand in his for a quick shake.

"Holly, 19." You both let go, and you turn to the taller boy.

He slowly extends his arm and takes a hold of your hand. "Lucas. I'm 18." You shyly shake his hand, but when your skin makes contact with his and sends a shock up your arm, you gasps and drop his hand to rub your arm. It felt like it was under your skin and you found yourself frowning.

Ow. He shocked me.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to." He says softly and nods towards your arm.

"No it's- it's fine. Really." You smile to reassure him you were fine. His smile was more amazing than you thought it would be. He grinned at your words and nodded.

"That's good to hear. I still need to show you around yet." He laughs, "or introduced you to Forrest and Miri."

Forrest? Miri? Who the hell are they?

Just then, a small black cat comes shooting through the room and towards your legs. It stops to meow at your feet, and rub on each leg, reaching out for you with its paw. You smile and bend down to scratch it's head softly.

"That's our kitten, Miri," Alec says. Miri starts to purr and doesn't at all seem fazed when a giant golden lab comes running up to you, it's tail going crazy as it tries to kiss you to death. You laugh and start playing with the giant dog. "...and that's Forrest. He's just a puppy."

You've never actually been over to their house before. You only ever saw Layla and Josh either at your house or out and about. You never even remember them having kids. "Oh this will be so great!" Layla said. She sounded so excited. You could hear your mother laugh in agreement.

You glance up at the two boys, who you find are already watching you. One with a small smile and the other with a giant grin on his face. "Well Holly," Lucas says, "let me give you the grand tour."
