~ Chapter 2 ~ Le music

For me, music is a large part of my life. Seriously. Like, I wouldn't be me without my music.

I have a very interesting taste of music. I mainly listen to rock, but it varies throughout punk, post-hardcore, alternative, some metal etc. My favorite types of rock are gaijin-rock and j-rock.

I really dislike pop music. REALLY. Honestly i cant see how people listen to it. All of the backing track is made by someone tapping the space-bar on a computer, the people aren't singing its either the auto tune/ computer doing it or they're rapping. Ugh rap. Wow, yeah, it takes so much talent to talk into a microphone about drugs and sex. Mhm.

*coughsarcasmcough*

Honestly I guess I cant say I hate all pop, coz i do listen to like two artists, them being EXO ( the most amazing k-pop band ever, i like them because their music isn't bad, and they are like brothers! they are sooo funny together!) and lindsey stirling (an electronic violinist, who makes a very unique mix of music. I play violin too, and she gave me courage to keep on playing when I wanted to give it up. one of my main hates of pop music is no real instruments, so the fact that she ACTUALLY plays an instrument, and plays it well, makes me respect her greatly.)

(Oh yeah did i mention she makes songs about nerdy stuff too? Halo, Skyrim, Game of thrones, pokemon etc.)

As i said, because i dislike pop, i get alot of shit. YAY! Thankfully I've manipulated and broken my Friends into liking some of my music!

At the moment my favourite band is Area 11, closely followed by a Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK. I love area 11 a lot, and have recentley had the pleasure of meeting them at the Nottingham gig for the Ichi tour, it really was the best night of my life! They make a very unique type of music called gaijin-rock. Basically it's upbeat, happy rock heavily influenced by Japanese culture. This means all of their songs are about anime. EVERY SINGLE ONE. I'd also reccomend ONE OK ROCK, they are awsome! They make rock music, wich sorta varies to punk, post hardcore and alternative music, and i love every single song (just like area 11)! The lead vocalist Takahiro Morita is absolutely amazing, generally he is better live than on CD! And OMG the drummer tomoya = perfect! Hes my current bias, but Ryota... an Toru... its impossible to choose a permanent favourite! they are all quirky and funny people!

That's why I love area 11 so much! Every member is different, but they all have great personalities, and are hilarious (that I learned through sketches). but they are soo chilled an cool, they were really great when I met them! I met them.
