I felt his soft lips press against my fore head as he said goodnight to me.
Silence fell upon us but I still couldn't get to sleep. My uncle's words replayed in my head, I couldn't work out why he would say it then.
I decided to get up and get a drink of water, since we were all sleeping down stairs and the kitchen was near. I sat down at the dining room table and traced my uncles name with my finger on the table. "Jonathan..." I heard a low voice mumble from behind me. I turned to see Ethan with a cookie in his mouth. I smirked a bit when he shrugged at me. " Eating a cookie at this time? " I giggled quietly. He nodded and started to giggle too. I stood up and he embraced me in a warm hug. I dug my head in the crook of his neck and he lifted me up and placed me back on the sofa on his lap.
We soon fell asleep and I could feel his warm breath on my neck.
I woke up to the smell of pancakes and the sound of sizzling. I jumped up and ran to the kitchen to see Gray flipping a pancake. "Heya, Gray..." I murmured, rubbing my eyes. He turned around and smiled, reaching his arms out to me. He hugged me like the night before when Ethan did and I smiled. It was nice having two understanding friends like the twins.
