Suguha starts reading Asuna's diary from the beginning, scanning each page for page with her eyes. Asuna sits opposite Suguha, watching the way Suguha reads each page with intense focus.
Asuna sits there, watching Suguha read. Suguha, while reading, blushes and smiles to herself, while reading about Asuna's memories formed with Kazuto. After a while, Suguha lets out an "Oh!" sound. Asuna jumps, startled and leans towards the diary, to peer at what memory Suguha is reading about.
Asuna looks at Suguha. "S-Suguha, w-what's wrong?"
Suguha looks at Asuna, the diary, then back to Asuna's direction. "Asuna, the diary stops at some point. why?"
Asuna peers on the page then lean back and sighs. "Ah, well..." Asuna's eyes fixate onto the floor. Suguha notices the change in Asuna's face. "A-Asuna?" she asks, with a worried tone of voice.
"...The diary stops at the point where...where the Ordinal scale incident was cleared up, doesn't it...?" Asuna responds. in an almost emotionless tone.
Suguha responds with a nod, looking at Asuna, then back at the diary page with a confused expression. "Well y-yeah, you talk about Kazuto giving you your promise ring when you both went to Mount Doudaira to watch the meteor shower together...but then it stops after you talk about when Kazuto was introduced to your Mother."
Asuna nods at each memory suguha mentions. "That's correct..."
Suguha, intrigued to know more about what's bothering Asuna, flips through pages, looking for more entries by Asuna. "Why did you stop writing from there, then?" Asuna opens her mouth to reply to Suguha's question but is interrupted by a sudden spit fire reply. "Oh, I think I get it now, Kazuto must not have got your mother's blessing, right?"
Asuna jolts her spine in shock to the statement. "N-No! t-that's not what- she's yet interrupted again by Suguha, who carries on her rambling, ignoring Asuna's response. "...then from such embarrassment of my brother, you didn't write anything for the sake of my brother's pride and wanted to forget the day ever happened, right?"
Asuna lets out a loud scream. "S-Suguha, I'd never think of Kirito like that!" A-Anyways...it's just...with the whole Alicization incident...I never did write...because...Kirito...was...g-gone..."
Suguha's eyes widen as Asuna's voice cracks a bit. "Asuna..."
Asuna shakes her head as to reassure Suguha she can continue talking and takes a deep breath before continuing her conversation. As soon as Asuna was going to speak, there's a knock on the door and a familiar voice can be heard.
"Hey Suguha, Asuna, can I come in?"
With that said, Asuna shut her mouth and the minute she heard the familiar voice by the door, her gloomy expression almost instantly formed into her smiling self once again.
She smiles at the door, knowing who was behind it. Who she wanted- no, who she needed to see. As Suguha called out to the name of the person behind the door, Asuna felt her worries and sadness instantly disappear with the mention of the one whom she loved dearly.
