Chapter 01

Ciara woke up early because of some interviews she has today. She lazily climbed out her bed trying to avoid dizziness she would catch with any sudden movements. She successfully got up and made her way to the bathroom that she shared with her bestfriend Naomi. She and Naomi shared an two bedroom apartment in the South parts of California although it didn't come with two bathrooms they were still thankful for getting a the apartment that they could afford.

When she reach the bathroom after walking every so quietly making sure not to wake Naomi up, she did her morning routine, showering, brushing her teeth, shaving, applying lotion to her skin and drying her hair, walked back with the same amount of quiteness to her room. She strode to her closet and pick out a black pencil skirt, a beige blouse with a black over throw and a black wedge to finish it off. She slipped in the chair in front of her dresser and did her hair in a plait bun and only little lipgloss since she's not a fan off the many makeup women wear. When she was finished she took a look of herself in her fullbody mirror.

Ciara, a mixed African-American, stood 5ft tall, a tall yet short girl, a dark caramelized skin color, with her black-brown soft natural curled hair in a plait bun, a light hazel brown eyes, lovely cheek and jawbone structure and slightly pointed round nose, stood in front her mirror admiring her beauty, well to the world she is beauty but to her she is plain. Not even her curvy hour-glass shape could convince her otherwise. One would think she's a model.

After reveiwing, she made her way to the kitchen to make her self a cup of coffee and some toast. Eating her toast, whilst scrolling through her newsfeed just clicking on random post, sipping on her coffee, waiting for the clock to strike 7O'Clock so she can make her way to the first interview she has at 8:00. A couple more minutes of eating, scrolling, sipping and waiting it finally reached 7:00. And with that she left for the 7:15 bus then made her way acrosss to town to Lex Inc.

She made her way into the tall building of Lex Inc. and made a beeline to the receptionist. " Hi Good morning, I'm Ciara Smithe and I'm here for the interview for the PA position with Mr. Lex" she said with a small smile. "Good morning to you too Ms. Smithe but I'm sorry to inform you that Mr. Lex's PA position has already been filled yesterday. I'm really sorry but his secretary was supposed to call you to inform you that he has found a PA and would cancel all other interview" the receptionist poiletly replied back.

Hearing that statement made Ciara felt bad that she wouldn't even get the interview, for wasting her time and waking up early like a fool when she could be sleeping all that time. "Oh... Well thank you for informing Ms....... " "Ms. Niles" "Well thank you very much for informing me Ms. Niles" Ciara replied back. Disappointment couldn't be missed in her voice, she was very much disappointed. "I'm really sorry Ms. Smithe" "Its okay Ms. Niles thank you for your cooperation" and with that she turnt and left the building of Lex Inc. and went to her next interview at Perkis Co.

She went straight to the receptionist, he told her where to go and went to the liberty of flirting with her which she just plainly ignore. On her way up to his office on the hundredth floor she kept praying the elevator wouldn't stop. She's claustrophobic but doesn't mind if the space like an elevator would be moving but once it doesn't move her panic attack starts.

Once she got out, she released a breath she didn't realize she was holding. She walked up to the secretary whose desk was just feets away from the elevator "Umm.... Hi. My name is Ciara Smithe and I'm here for the PA interview" "Ah Ms. Smithe you're quite early for your interview. Well please have a sit on one of the chairs provided and when Mr. Prekis is ready for you I'll inform" Ciara was happy unlike the other interview that didn't happen which is why she is so early. With a smile plastered on her face she replied "Thank you very much" and she turnt and took a seat.
