My name is Brittney and i was a little girl at the time my parents died in a car crash. I didnt realize at the time that i would never see them again. But that was the past... and now its the future...!

I live with my foster mom, April and 5 other kids. My roommate is lexi, and i would do anything for her.

"I cant beileve you did that to april!" I say to lexi as im walking to school

"I didnt mean to flush her phone down the toilet!" she answers sarcasticly.

I walk in to class looking for my bestfriend Sophia. She's always late so i dont find her, but i do find Ethan. He's "the hottest boy in class" but i dont get why. My ex-bestfriend Ashley, who by the way has a major crush on him and is the most popular girl in Trace Middle School was majorly jelous of me. (well thats what Alexis told me, my best friend ever, until she moved!)

I actually have a crush on Tyler but Sophia thinks im crazy because Cloe also likes him and shes Ashley's bestfriend and if she found out everyone in school would know! But i just cant help it!

"hey hey!" said Sophia

"hi" i said kinda disapointed it was her.

I love Sophia in a friend kinda way but sometimes i wonder if she should be friends with Ashley instead!

"Whats got you all weird!?" she asked in a digusted voice

"nothing."

"good morning class!" Mrs. Rainer said joyfully

In the middle of class we were in science (my least favorite part of the day) and i got a note, i fiqured it was from Sophia and opened it. I knew it wasnt Sophia once i opened it because at the bottem it said from... Tyler! I was so happy i found myself already righting back... yes, i wrote with my colorful replacment pen for the one Ethen threw of a mountain when he stole it from me. I was writing in pink because thats a love color and was he asked me to go to the sring formal with him!

I passed the note back three seats and he read it and smiled and all i could think in my head was, i got myself into some serious trouble with Cloe and Ashley!

The spring formal was in a week and i already told April i wasnt going and thats why i ran home and told April that i needed the prettiest dress ever and all she did was tell me to save my money! I cant beleive her i said aloud with lexi in the room.

"you cant get everything you want" lexi said kinda snobish                                                                  

"you know theres a price you pay to losing both your parents!" she said

I got all teared up and toled her to leave, of course she left and went to tell April, but i didnt mind, she always does that. And even though she is doing this now we always have sister type moments but right now, not so much!

The day before spring formal i realized that i still didnt have a dress! Everything just went by so fast! But i couldnt help but think whos Sophia's date? I was sick thursday and friday and she never texted or called me to see if im ok. I wonder what i missed!

I ran up to my room and scrammbled through my closet, nothing but rags! So i went to Bella's room (my 'sister' with the room next to mine) and i looked through her closet, i found the perfect dress! it was blue, light blue to be exect and it had dark blue sparkles with little fringes at the bottem! i tried it on and it fit perfectly, of course she wouldnt mind, i think...

I walked down the hall so everyone could see me leave and Bella freaked but said she would get me back later! I left and there was a limo in the driveway! I cant beleive him! We drove there and silence, not one word on the way there, i wonder if thats a good thing? i walked in and no Sophia i looked everywhere, and now im starting to get worryed!

I woke up with the sight of my dress on the chair... but i dont remember red on the bottem right! April walks in crying, her eyes really puffy and red like shes been crying all night!

"whats wrong, April?"

"he he's... g gone" she sniffeles

i think to myself whos gone then she says, Tyler! now im crying like a baby! i cant beleive this happened!

"how!?" i cry

"dont you remeber sweetie, Sophia shot him"

That just hit me like a wall going 1000 mph! How is it that everything i touch it ends up dying!
