Do you know that feeling when you're half-awake? When you're conscious enough to hear sounds and feel the ground beneath you but, you're somehow still asleep?

That's how Park Jimin felt.

The slightest sound of a door creeping open entered his mind as he felt the presence of someone. He sensed something, it's just that he slipped into the deep state of sleep again before anything else could happen.

The next time Park Jimin woke up, he took in his surroundings. He laid in a king sized bed with black velvet covers. The room was quite dark considering all the windows had their shutters closed. It was morning; or, if the digital clock beside him was lying, then it wasn't morning.

"Where am I?" Jimin tried sitting up. He held his head as he felt a sharp pain, he had a migraine. His legs twitched in pain as well. He grabbed his thigh and his face scrunched up in pain. As he lifted the blanket, he saw legs that were bruised a deep purple. Jimin winced at the unsightly limbs and sighed. He lowered the blanket.

Although he was in a foreign environment, he was somehow able to remain calm.

He looked around the unfamiliar setting some more. Wooden furniture, pointless antiques, a connected bathroom.

No matter how hard Jimin thought, nothing came to mind. It was as if his mind was bleached a bright, blank white. Then came a familiar sound, the slow creaking of a door. Jimin's eyes whipped to the entrance. There stood a tall man, his hair, a dark brown, his eyes, dark like a black void, accompanied by eye bags. He wore a blue dress shirt with black dress pants.

The man looked at Jimin with wide, intense eyes. Honestly, the whole situation freaked Jimin out and the man's stern appearance didn't help a bit.

"What is this? A staring contest?" Jimin joked in an attempt to lighten the mood. The man's eyebrows raised further up, he then rushed up to Jimin and wrapped his arms around his sides in an embrace.

Jimin had way too many questions as to what was going on but his current question was, "Who is this man hugging me?!"

"Um..." Jimin tried to get the brown-haired man to stop hugging him as he patted his shoulder.

"Oh! I'm sorry about that Jimin, it's just that you were in a coma for the past four days now and I was worried." He explained.

Jimin cocked his head to the side,
"How do you know my name? Who are you?"

He said the first questions that came to mind. The man confusedly stared at the smaller. Jimin realized how insensitive his questions may have been, for all he knows, this man could be his best friend or his brother or something.

"Perhaps... do you have amnesia?" The man looked sad, and a little let down.

"Seeing as to how I cannot remember anything about my life or you, who seems to be someone close to me, I'd assume so." Jimin nodded.

The man glanced to the side as he pressed his lips into a flat line.

"My name is Jeon Jungkook. I'm twenty-two years old and two years younger than you. We're married."

Jungkook explained as he lovingly looked down on the ring he wore.

Jimin looked down and realized he was wearing a matching one on his left hand. He looked back up to Jungkook.

The taller shifter his gaze from his ring back to Jimin.

"Four days ago, you accidentally fell down a stairway and hit your head. That's also why your legs are heavily bruised. I change the bandages every day, that's why I came in earlier. To my surprise, you were up." Jungkook went to the bathroom and came back out with a self-adherent wrap.

He moved the blanket and gently grabbed Jimin's legs. Jungkook wrapped the thin legs and continued,

"We live in a small cottage in the middle of a forest because it was quiet and you love nature. After we got married, we moved in here together." He cut the end of the bandage off.

Jimin's gaze lingered on the covered window,
"Can I go outside for a bit?" He asked.

"Of course." Jungkook sweetly smiled.

The brunet brought out a wheelchair for Jimin, not wanting him to strain his legs. Once he got on, Jungkook took him outside.

It was bright outside, Jimin gave his eyes some time to adjust. Once his sight returned, the smaller gazed at the vast scenery.

"It's beautiful." He exhaled. The trees were tall and green, tints of blue mixed with the greens, creating a hazy and mystical atmosphere. Just beyond a few trees laid a glimmering lake.

Jimin rolled the wheeks of his wheelchair. He went closer to some bushes and flowers to inspect them closer. The pigments were vibrant, the whole forest seemed to be full of life.

Jungkook stepped closer to Jimin.

"I really do love the nature." He gently smiled at the flowers.

Jungkook smiled at his contented husband.

"I gotta start heading to work," Jungkook announced. He grabbed the wheelchair handles and pushed Jimin back into the house.

"What do you do?" Jimin asked while enjoying the slight breeze.

"It's a type of social work." Was all Jungkook said before kissing Jimin on the cheek and walking out the door.
