Juncture Of Regrets

Chapter Six: Elise, Alisha, Layla...

I had a feeling, I had some time before she gives me a hint to where she is. Elise. Elise the mother of Layla aka Skylar. Alisha the girl who arrived to me because I changed to timeline and who dies in the future. Christian, the man who doesn't ruin my life anymore but leaves his future wife and future daughter aka Elise and Layla alone and this causes Elise to do something reckless and I..i..ki.... i kill her. This was too much to taken it. This was supposed to be a journey to fix my regrets and heal everyone's wounds but I guess if you fix one bad thing, something bad would replace it. This is the future that awaits for me. If I survive. If I survive I need to make sure this doesn't happen which might cause more problems but I will deal with it later which is pretty irresponsible. I'm sorry everyone.

I went to Alisha's house. We were hanging out in her bedroom.

"Alisha, here" I handed her a letter, " Don't open it now, it's for If I don't come back. It will remind you of me since you won't remember."

She hugged me. She hugged me so tight that my lungs were about to collapsed but I allowed the hugged to go on as long as she wanted. I didn't want anything to happen to her. Her death was probably my fault anyways so, me disappearing should be fine for her. We chatted for hours about anything. She was laying on my lap the whole time. We just talked and talked. It didn't matter how stupid of a thing we were talking about since we both knew this could be our last time speaking to each other. I left her house around 10 p.m. it was cold. Too cold for an autumns day. It reminded me of the day at the start of all of this. It was a freezing day.

The next day in school........

I headed into school. School was just a past time for my final event. I needed to wait for Layla. I didn't know how or when she will come and fight me but I guess she needs time for herself as well as I do.

I walked around school until the end of lunch. The bell for the end of school came quick. I texted everyone to come to a party that I just made up this Sunday and stressed out the point that it is important. If this would be the end, I want to say my proper good byes.

It was Sunday. Everyone was worried. I invited Elise, Alisha, Rufus, Klaus, Adam, Thomas, Elise's best friends; Alyssa and Ella and lastly Layla but I doubt she would show up.

Everyone one by one came through my door. I greeted them one by one as they walked through my door. As the last one arrives, Rufus, I brought everyone to my living room.

"Guys", I assented, "I am so sorry but if you don't see me anymore then I am gone." Everyone got up and started shouting. I couldn't understand a word. Too many people speaking. I think they were all shouting questions and trying to make sure I wasn't going to kill myself. The only one who wasn't speaking was Elise. She just sat there like a lifeless doll or even a ghost.

"Guys, listen. I am not committing suicide but I am doing something dangerous so this is kind of like my going away party if I died, " As soon as I said that Alisha pulled me away and whispered into my ear, "Do you really think you might lose?"

I replied, "I might lose on purpose. I don't know what I might do in the heat of battle. She must be controlling the people with the nuke launch codes with her Dark Wind. Anything could happen."

I gently pushed Alisha to the others. We had fun. Hours of talking, dancing, playing video games, it was the most fun I had in a while. I was happy. Elise was the only one who wasn't enjoying herself.

Everyone was leaving but Elise. Alisha gave me a kiss on the cheek for good luck. I kind of wanted more to be honest.

"So, Elise. Thomas seemed okay even though his girlfriend broke up with her", I babbled "Skylar didn't show up. I invited her"

Elise spoke up, " You mean Layla Kelly?"

I froze. She was the one watching us. Anyone else wouldn't believe us speaking but she seen me disappear before and reappear.

"How?" I replied.

"There was like a black line of wind. I felt like it was telling me to follow it so I did and it took me to you two."

"Then you know that I must stop her."

"You need to stop my future daughter..." she stumbled as she said that.

I couldn't been easy finding out you have a daughter in the future and she is evil. She had the right to be evil.

"Don't worry Elise , I will make sure she will never becoming evil in the future."

Elise chuckled , it was a dark chuckle , "So you are not going to kill me this time or are you going to kill my husband so she won't be born and try to destroy the world."

I nervously smile, "ummm...yeah. I mean I am going to make sure you don't die and Alisha doesn't die."

"You love Alisha don't you?"

I was terrified. I never wanted to love again but she made me realise that I might be in love again.

I nodded.

I blurted, "I used to be in love with you. We were boyfriend and girlfriend for a bit but it ended badly but then I got this power so I used to make sure we didn't go out."

Elise rebuked, " How do you think I feel?! who do you think you are and what you have the right to wipe away us away? I want to know what It would have been like but I won't anymore because of you and now my future daughter is trying to destroy the world."

I never expected her to feel like this. I never expected me trying to fix things actually made things worse.

I relented, "I am sorry. I hate myself. I caused more pain." Elise hugged hesitantly, she knew what kind of demon I was but she still tried to comfort me. She was the reason why i really wanted to time travel but now she is the reason why I regret doing so. I tried to fix all my regrets but it's not possible. This power is too powerful for selfish desires like mine but it's mine so I needed to man up and be the man I needed to be. The world needs me even if it doesn't accept me. My powers are needed.

My eyes turned emerald green. Green wind rushed all around me. I picked up Elise using the wind with a flick of my hand.

"Layla, I am going to win this game!"
