Sunshine

A Small Family

I stretched my legs as I left my small bed.The birds sang their morning songs as the sun rose.I felt way better than the other day.I decided I was going to go hunting.I sniffed the morning air.Prey was everywhere.A plump rabbit hopped out a busy and began sniffing the air.I stalked the prey as I slowly edged my way towards it.I made sure the wind would not carry my scent.I was right behind the rabbit before I leaped.I swiftly killed the rabbit with a swift bite.I hungrily ate a quarter of the prey before making a small prey pile
beside my small home.A high pitched yowl filled my ears.I swiftly turned around.I raced towards the sound.I leaped across the small stream,sending drops of water into the air before splattering a patch of yellow flowers.The sound seemed to be a kit which worried me even more.The sound was getting louder every time I took a stride.A small kit was hanging onto a small,half broken branch,as the raging river throw the kit up and down into the air.The little kit was still blind and it was surprising how it managed to stay on the branch.Without thinking,I leaped into the water and grabbed the kit by the neck.The river bashed me against a rock before knocking me underwater.The waves pulled me above the raging river and kicked me onto a nearby rock.The small kit was weakly meowing as I slowly pulled myself up the wet rock and onto the soft,comforting grass.I vomited the water out of the mouth before laughing hysterically for no reason.I padded back home,carrying the kit in my jaw.A she-cat with black fur was sunbathing on my territory,with two small kits,suckling her swollen belly.She gasped as she saw me,carrying the nearly drowned kit. "I don't mind any more family members, "I calmly meowed to the she-cat as I settled down beside her,with my new family.
