The saddest kind of love is when your tears can't even drop and you feel nothing. It's like the world has ended. You don't cry, you don't hear, you don't see. You just stay there as you watch your heart die. Losing the one, the one you love with every ounce of your soul. You wish you had never met the one because losing them is just too hard.  You wouldn't need to try to impress them, no need to be loving them. No need for crying over them, no need for pain or tears. No need for the forgotten promises and no need for the rejected hugs.No need to feel the cold body beneath you, drenched in your tears. What if you never lost the one, what if the one was made to forget? The one who made you feel so loved is the one breaking you. They're the one draining your every last breath.

He had never been one to fall in love, never expected to feel such a strong pull to someone. Never expected to lose them.

"I love you, remember?" he whispered. The silence that followed was suffocating, too heavy in an already dreary atmosphere.

"I know"

"Aren't you going to say it back?"

"No"

"What? Babe I - you said it before" he whispered, backing away from the man he once loved, still did but feared who he had become.

"Thrres no such thing as love. I am programmed to fight, there's is no such thing as love. NO SUCH THING! SAY IT!"

"No I-"

"Damn it, say it now or I'll leave forever. I'll go back to where I'm from. Now say it or I'll go"

"No that's not fair, please-"

"I'm leaving, you're wasting my time"

"Wait, please don't go. I-I'll say it" the room was too cold, so bewildering because it had been where they shared so many loving moments together and now-

"Are you gonna say it? Hurry the fuck up"

"There's no such thing as love" it was a whisper, but echoed so loudly in the silence of the hushed room. Suddenly it didn't feel like home, more like prison.

"Good, I need to charge up"

"No can I please say something" he clung onto his love's hand but it was cold, nothing like the warmth of before.

"You said you loved me once" he continued.

"Maybe I was wrong. Love doesn't exist, if we love we don't succeed. Success is a necessity of war. Let go of me" such a harsh reply, it stung, didn't feel like the once loving words they had expressed.

With that he was gone. The love of his life was there physically but he was gone, where his heart had been is now a cold block of metal, incapable of feelings, incapable of love.

"I'll never let you go"
