As Elsa placed her tiara upon her head, she heard Anna and Kristoff quietly chatting in their room. She tiptoed over to their door, closely eavesdropping.
"Then it's settled..." she heard Anna say, her voice trailing off. "But what will Elsa-" she was cut off by Elsa toppling into the room, blushing brightly. She awkwardly grinned and stood up, brushing off her glimmering gown. "How much of that did you-" Anna did not look impressed as Elsa had cut her off again.
"Just enough to know that you're keeping something from me..." Elsa deviously hissed, strutting out the room backwards. Anna glanced up at Kristoff with worried eyes and he just grinned, shaking his head slowly.
Elsa squirmed nervously in her chair, wondering what they could possibly be keeping from her. She quietly picked at her eggs until Anna came skipping down the stairs energetically. She slowed down near the bottom of the stairs, focusing on the straight-sitting queen, who looked quite worried. Elsa shot Anna the most fake smile you'd ever see.
"You oka-" Anna's older sister cut her off again.
"I'm fine! No... great!" she yelled, lying through her teeth.
"Okay..." Anna replied, her voice unsteady. "Listen, Elsa...." Anna started. Elsa stared at her with round, glowing eyes. Anna took a deep breath. "Me and Kristoff... we got an offer." Anna bit her lip as Elsa tilted her head in curiosity. "I-I'm going to rule another kingdom who just lost their king and queen..." her voice trailed off. Elsa's eyes lit up like fireplaces.
"What about the kingdom that just lost their prince and princess?!" She shouted furiously. "I CAN'T RULE ARENDELLE ALONE ANNA!" Elsa was tightly clutching her now-ice-covered fork in anger.
"Elsa I made a promise an-" Anna was -as usual- cut off by Elsa.
"I don't care about your promise." Elsa dropped her fork. "I care about you." Elsa's eyes flooded with tears, and she sprinted up the stairs, bawling the whole way and leaving a trail of ice behind her.
Elsa sobbed loudly into her pillow, scared of ruling a kingdom alone. She heard a faint little knock at her door and her sweet sister chime,
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" Elsa couldn't help but grin. She raspily whispered for her to come in, and Anna slipped through the door, her eyes clouded with tears.
Elsa started the conversation, "Anna... listen, I didn't mean to yell at you like that..." her voice trailed off into tears. "I'm just scared of ruling Arendelle alone.... you know, with my powers and all." She bit her lip and tightly shut her eyes, trying hard to hold back tears.
"I'm really sorry Elsa," Anna solemnly whispered. "I really should have thought of you... but my mind is made up." She firmly spoke now, and Elsa was almost intimidated. Elsa, still clamping onto her lip, nodded in a small, almost elegant way. Anna turned from Elsa and whispered through tears, "I leave in two days..." her voice left her and she ran from the room, crying dramatically. Elsa scooted to the wall and tucked herself up, sobbing into her knees. 'What now?' she thought to herself.
