Chapter 1: The Land Were His History Begun

'I'm sorry Jazz, but it had to be done'

Her voice whispered in the night as I lie down on the cold snow.

I've been hearing it since she left; it was slowly driving me insane. Was this what Edward felt when he thought Bella had die? Will I end up like him, playing around the Volturi so that they could kill me? Would someone rescue me from myself? Maybe I'll be with her then, and we would be happy because of her last vision together. Maybe...

He sighs, and subconsciously begun doing figures on the white veil below him.

"Stop thinking for a moment, would you? You're driving me insane as well, it’s like your thoughts scream looking for my head" Edward's voice brought him back to earth. How could I not felt him? "You, my brother, are thoroughly distracted, but you need to distract yourself from that distraction or you will ended making a fool of what is left from you."

His idiotic for idiots games of words, idiot. I mentally buffed. And the idiot smiled.

"I know what you're going through, been there, done it... You are stronger and wiser; you'll get out of this okay." He smirked sadly. "Alice would have fought if I weren't correct." Idiot. "I'm supposed to be like that, brother" he gave me a toothy grin, and begun walking away.

As he was about to disappear in the sea of leafless trees, he ran back in the beat of a blink, "You should travel for a while, it'll ease the pain... Also, we found something that might help. But talk to Rose first, she is quite worried you would pull an 'Edward'." and with a laugh, he run all the way back.

It had been six full months since Alice was killed by those vampire hunters, which were vampires like us, and also only drink animal blood. They saw Alice's slip, and there was no way back, she could have try, but the vision she had made the decision she had since the beginning a stronger argument. They apologize, but I felt neither of them felt ashamed or guilty. They said that they'd been doing this for years, and after the big slip after a long thirst, there was no stopping, that they did right. I felt my face coming into a grimace, I couldn't hate them, as much as I try, I just couldn't.

I got up and started walking toward the house, which I hadn’t put a foot for a few weeks now.  The frown was still set on my face.

The hunters were scared of her, seeing her 'little' slip pay with the lives of at least thirty people, their feelings were tainted in horror and remorse, as if seeing all that happened was their fault, and they had to fix things. They were protective of the humans; they were just doing their job. It was no different to us battling the newborn army Victoria had change in order to protect Bella, a human at the time. I just couldn't hate them for taking her away.

She had seen it was going to happen a few months before, but didn't told me till it had happened, because it had to happen.

My anger rose, but before I could give a yell, the house front door opened, I haven't notice I was this close, and Rose was in front of me.

"I won't pull an Edward, calm down" her emotions slowed down and disappeared eventually, an overwhelming feeling of fondness taking hold of her. She and I had the most scarring past of the coven, which draw us closer through the years, making us like some kind of real-siblings.

"Thank God, I won't be happy if you weren't here to make Emmett bored" she joked. "It's bad enough to lose a sister... I don't need to lose my brother too" and with that said, she handed me an envelope with a cursive yet bubbly script, my name, on the front. "I though looking through her things would be what she would want, knowing she would've leaves some explanation of her behavior back then, but I think it till this morning... As expected-"
