Chapter Two: Telling Someone

Friday was agony.

Zach wanted to stay in bed all day, but the rest of the guys were taking Jack to Chipotle to celebrate. Zach didn't understand why. The other guys never celebrated when Jonah and Tate got together. Why does Jack get that kind of recognition?

Zach decided to quit pouting and get dressed. He would go to this thing. He didn't want anyone to be suspicious about anything.

He got dressed into his normal black and pulled on his checkered vans before going downstairs to meet up with the guys.

Jonah and Corbyn were talking animatedly about something, Daniel was eating watermelon and watching Toddlers and Tiaras with a scowl on his face, and Jack was on his phone again.

Zach sat beside Jonah and listened in on their conversation.

"But he was so popular already! Why did he need to race that car?! I don't get it!" Corbyn said.

"Because it was his passion! And he was awesome!" Jonah argued back.

"Well duh, he was awesome! To hell with you if you think otherwise!" Corbyn replied.

Jonah gasped, "I do not think otherwise!"

Zach sighed. They had an obsession with James Dean. They owned all his movies, films of his races, and even had some posters hung up on the wall. Zach didn't understand it but he wasn't one to judge so....

After a few hours, the boys got up, deciding to get ready for Chipotle.

"See ya in a bit, Zach." Jonah said, finally acknowledging his presence.

Corbyn's eyes widened a little bit. He hadn't known Zach was there.

Zach chuckled, turning towards the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Chipotle was good. Expensive, but good. Everyone kept asking Jack about Gabbie though. That was the bad part.

Zach could wait to meet her. He didn't want to. He didn't even want her to be a part of his life. He was extremely jealous of her.

Zach couldn't help but be silent the whole time other than to order his food. He was afraid that his voice would crack from trying not to cry.

He just stared at his food, slowly eating it while listening to the conversation.

He left to go use the bathroom and when he came back, apparently some fans had shown up.

"Cool." He answered and they went back to their conversation about Gabbie.

Jonah glanced at Zach, looking wary, before turning back to the conversation as well.

They got home and played video games until midnight. Zach had excused himself to his room, saying that he was tired.

After five minutes, Jonah showed up, taking a shower and getting ready for bed.

When he exited the bathroom and entered the room, he looked at Zach.

Sitting down, Jonah began speaking, "So, are you excited to meet Gabbie?"

Zach couldn't stop the scoff that exited his mouth, his eyes rolling along with it.

Jonah smirked, "You're not then?"

"Not really. I just-" He sighed.

Jonah was always so easy to talk to. It was like in Twilight, when Bella couldn't stop telling Edward things about herself, minus the romance.

"You wanna tell me?" Jonah asked.

"No. But I do. So I'm going to tell you."

Jonah nodded at him.

Zach breathed in and out.

"You good?" Jonah startled him.

He hadn't realized that he had been holding his breath. Thankfully Jonah had interrupted that.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm good. Okay." another deep breath. "I have a crush on Jack." He looked up at Jonah to see his reaction.

Jonah was smiling, all his teeth showing, "I knew it!!" Jonah jumped up and did a little weird dance.

Zach looked at him skeptically, "So you don't mind?"

"Not at all! I want you two to date! Now we just need to get rid of Gabbie." He looked at the wall with a weird look on his face that made Zach laugh.

He fell back on his bed and Jonah did the same, except on his own bed.

"Good night, Jonah." Zach said, rolling over and closing his eyes.

"Night, buddy!" Jonah said, obviously still extremely happy.

Zach silently chuckled, falling asleep, happy that at least Jonah would be there for him whatever happens.

He woke up a little later to Corbyn entering the room, but soon fell asleep again.

Sorry about this being so short. I think I'm getting a little bit sick and I have a headache but I wanted to get this written down before I forgot what I wanted to write.
