Becoming Yours

Chapter 8:

We got to American Deli and ordered our food.

We sat down and waited until they called our number.

I sat down next to Daniel, again of course. We just chatted until our food got there.

"So Daniel when did you get here?" Asked Sarah.

"2 weeks before school started." He replied.

"Oh so not that long ago I see." Said sarah giving off a weird look.

"Well let's say you liked a girl, how do you ask her out?" Sarah asked taking her phone out.

"Well, I wouldn't immediately ask her out. I would first see if she felt the same way or at least was a good girl that I knew I actually loved." He explained giving me a smile.

"Ok. Good to know good to know. Ok what do you like in a girl?" Asked Sarah.

"For me it's all about the personality but if she has looks then that's just bonus. She has to be funny, sweet, confident, goofy, and smart, oh and not care what people think." Explained Daniel.

The smile I had on my face instantly washed away. I'm none of those things.

"Ok. Does it matter what she wears?" Asked Sarah.

"Not really but if she is confident and likes to wear sexy things I guess then I'm all about it. Or if she likes to be comfy then that's ok too." Explained Daniel.

"What if she is a little insecure about herself?" Asked Sarah.

"Well of course I would show her that there is nothing about her to be insecure about." Replied Daniel looking at me again.

I wasn't really happy after hearing he wants a confident girl who dresses 'sexy' I'm not that.

"Why are you asking these questions?" I asked Sarah.

"Just to get to know him." Sarah said giving me a sneaky smile.

"Well that's a weird way to get to know someone." I said laughing.

"No I'm not I'm asking questions about his interest." Sarah said.

"No it sounds like your asking questions about his interest in GIRLS not anything else." I said still giggling at how goofy Sarah is.

"Fine. Do you have any things you like to do. Like drawings, singing, something?" Asked Sarah.

"Yeah actually I skate and... yeah." He said looking down.

"It sounded like you were going to say something else." I said nudging him on his elbow.

"It's nothing I just sometimes write songs and play the guitar." He said shyly looking down.

"Really!" I said.

"Yeah. I've been playing since I was 6." He told us.

"Well my dad has a guitar that he doesn't use would you wanna show us what you can do?" I asked him hoping he would agree.

"Uh I don't know." He said giving a small grin.

"C'mon you have to." Said Sarah.

"Alright but first can we eat." He said chuckling.

"Right." I said.

We went back home after we finished eating.

"Ok let me go get the guitar." I said heading upstairs.

"So Sarah why were you asking me all of those questions about what I liked in a girl?" Asked Daniel.

"So Elizabeth could hear you and hear that your a good guy." Said Sarah giving him a huge smile.
