The Alphas Angel

chapter 2

This morning I had been really happy with my outfit I had on this white crop top with a cow skull and flowers tight miss me jeans and my boots. I was a southern bell through and through.

After lunch I go grab my stuff from my locker and decide to skip school. I head to the office and let them know I won't be here next week. They don't question me when I ask them to collect my class work and tell them I'll be gone. My parents just died and because of that along with my perfect grades they really don't care if I miss weeks at a time. I walk out a jump on my bike heading home. I pack a bag and spend a few hours with my pets. When school lets out I call Lizzy.

"Hey, Liz the house is finished except for final touches I need you to stay for a week and watch the animals. I'll explain when I come back don't worry." I hang up without waiting for her response. I grab my bag, walk out and lock the door. I know Lizzy will come and stay. There are times I have to get away but I've never left this long. I hop on my bike and drive away. I just drive and I don't even look at what roads I'm going down till I start to get tired I stop and grab a room at the local inn. Its then that I realized I'm in Dalton, GA. Just south of Chattanooga and close to the bottom of the Appalachian Mountains. I decide then in the morning I'll head for Aska. It's a small town that people don't go to. They say it's crawling with wolves and you can see them walking through town mid-day. I've never been scared of wolves though.

I've never been to Aska but I've been in the forest close to town on ATV's. We would ride from Blue Ridge to a small swimming hole and waterfall. Lacking an ATV and planning on staying for a week I head for Aska planning to stay there and go on hikes to the swimming hole my family affectionately named devils eye. As I ride into tow. I get strange looks but see no wolves I stop at the local diner getting something to eat before going to the inn. I get more tense looks but shrug it off. The town is gorgeous. It's like something you would read in a book or see in a movie. I take a quick nap and head to the devils eye.

Luke's pov:

"Where is she!!!!!?" I scream at Jace. We are standing in Angel's living room where Lizzy is staying. Lizzy is on the couch staring at me wide eyed in fear. Jace already told her about our kind and she was very excepting and maybe even a little excited. They will be mated when we head home, it's a special ceremony we have for human mates. Remember me saying human mates are a pain in the ass, yeah they still are. If a human gets bit without first being mated they will die. Jace and Lizzy are already inseparable all the while my mate punches me then goes missing. Then before I could continue my rant my phone goes off. I flip it open and say "Hello dad." My voice radiates my emotions "Hello son, how is finding your threes mates going?" the way he ask makes me think he's being formal before he gets to what he really wants to talk about. "Well me and Jake have found ours. He is having a lot better luck though. She accepted him immediately and they will mate when we get home. Mine well I got a little possessive when a guy came up trying to hit on her, she punched me and stormed off "I grumpily sigh "Haha, sounds like you got a fiery one. Good she will be a strong Luna. She will come around. Go apologize and take her on a date." His laugh sounds genuine but hi tone isn't totally happy. He has something he wants to talk about. "Well that's a problem... She's missing. Or rather she left." I tell him. "WHAT! You let her go off on her own!" he screams at me. "IT WASNT MY CHOICE DAD" I yell at my phone.

I place it on speaker.

"Well she will come around. The reason I called is we got a stranger into town. Rode in on a motorcycle and she's been going down to the pack swimming hole. The goddess only knows how she knows." He tells me then sighs. That swimming hole is important. It's our connection with the moon goddess and where all ceremonies are held. "Alright if you need me home ill......" I start to say before Lizzy interrupts me. "Wait. What town do you live in? You're not talking about devils eye are you?" she asks to no one in particular. "What's devils eye?" me and my dad ask in unison. "We live in a small town called Aska" Jake tells her softly fixing her hair out of her face.

Lizzy's eyes go wide. And she whispers "I know where she is" then louder "Don't hurt her! That's Angel! Devils eye is a swimming hole we use to go to as kids it's just east of Blue Ridge near the little town of Aska."

After this shocking revelation we get off the phone and wait.
