Zed's Pov

I lie in my bed.

I could feel my knees tremble. Everything Beta Allen said is damn energy consuming to digest.

I stared at my window.

Flashback:

What the fuck! I'm damn torn. Looking deep into Beta Allen's eyes makes me realize one thing, he might be impassive and all but he's fucking happy.

I sighed. "I'm going to claim her once I fixed all of this."

He gave me a brief smile. "Then it's decided. Now you listen. When your father and your mother turned 16, he knew he's mated to your mother's bestfriend, Angela. Your mother on the other hand is mated to Angela's brother, Gello. Your grandfather don't find them worthy of your parents so he ordered Alpha Draco and Luna Icy to get rid of them."

I gasped. "You mean, my parents killed them?"

He shook his head no. "But they arranged their deaths. They love their mates but at that moment, their love for the pack and to what they have believed are even important."

"Alpha Collins see through your father's intention. He knew that Alpha Draco wanted his wife."

"W-Why?"

He took a sip before speaking. "She looks just like Angela."

"What?!"

"Your mother pursue the alliance because Alpha Collins' son, their soon to be alpha, looks just like Gello, your mother's late mate."

My mind tried to digest everything but its just too much to bear. Anger rise in every inch of me.

He continued to speak. "But Alpha Draco isn't comfortable having Pink's brother around so he killed him and Alpha Collins. He tried to persuade his wife, bribe her with everything but the mate bond is something you can't just set aside. Realizing he can't have her, he killed her as well, sparing Pink." He lowered his gaze.

"What's wrong Beta Allen? What happened next? What made him spare her and treat her like this??" I couldn't deny that my heart skipped a bit.

"Pink is the spitting image of her mother."

I gasped. "Y-You mean..."

He stared at me. "Yes, he corrupted Pink. I tried to talk to him, give advice to him. But in return, he got so angry and warned me about my family's safety. He'll kill my family. But I guess this time around, you need to set things right."

"NO!" I yelled. I kicked the table then punched the wall.

Beta Allen wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry, Zed. I really am. I can't just let my family suffer. But let me make it up to you. We need a plan."

"Screw it! Fuck you all!" Tears keep falling my eyes.

My poor mate! I could feel Zac forcing to take over.

I pushed Beta Allen but he did well on restraining me. I tried to kick and attempted to shift.

But Beta Allen gripped me hard. "We need a plan. Don't mess everything. Cotrol your anger, it won't get you anywhere. You'll only provoke your father. I have something in mind. And it includes you to distance yourself from her for the meantime."

I sobbed. He's just so fucking right.

I could no longer respect my father.

No he don't even deserve the title.
