I'll have you know this book is mostly about what pet peeves are poked when I read books. Some times you may think, this woman's just crazy she doesn't know what she's talking about.
But I assure you. Someone. Some where. Will feel the same way I do.
The first three chapters will be about the important things needed for a book then everything else will probably just be opinion and suggestions. So don't get BUTTHURT if you think I'm wrong. It's a fucking opinion.
Let me know if you agree but some of my pet peeves are:
- Run on Sentences (and.... And.... And.... And...)
-No Punctuations for the next.... 4 paragraphs
-No Quotations when someone talks ( hey Jerry I said sup Bill) 😤
-Pictures in the middle of the fucking page (unless the book says otherwise :/)
-Todays abbreviation used in a book (smh, lol, lmao, DM, idk, etc.) ((Unless books is about otherwise))
Those are just my main major pet peeves. The pictures and the abbreviations I can probably ignore for a certain amount of time.
But if I read your book and it starts to run on like this with no abbreviations and just continues because you have no idea when the sentences end then you keep reading and get lost and have to go back to the beginning and when you go back nothing makes sense so you leave the book and never touch it again.
I WANNA CHUCK MY PHONE AT THE WALL! Don't do that!!
Things that will bother me but I don't worry too much about:
-Giant Paragraphs
-Too many little paragraphs (like an enter after every sentence)
-4000 worded chapters (we will talk about that)
-Too many Author Notes in the middle of story
-Capitalization
I mean.... Usually when I read Wattpad books I feel like I'm reading an actual legit book. But I never put that pressure to make someone's books James Patterson perfect (or J.K. Rowling perfect)
Write a book the way you feel it. But you have to feel. But don't feel it too much. Cause then you forget to punctuate. Then you get spelling errors (which we will also mention).
Spelling Errors I'm a little fine with because I know some people do have their dyslexia and.... Other.... Spelling... Issues. But if I legit have no idea what your talking about cause you sound like the mumble rap artists today. I might put the book down😂😂
And try not to use emjois too much unless you absolutely have to.
This book doesn't consider that rule so I'm gonna use them anyways🖕🖕
