Why Do I Have To Love You?

Chapter 1

Tina's POV~

"Tina!! Get your butt up, time for school!!" I hear Tony yell from across the hall. I groan and sit up. My messy hair was all over my face and I could feel the bags under my eyes. Today was my first day of middle school.

I walk over to my closet. Maybe I should wear something other than my onesie. I put on an orange shirt, light blue ripped jeans, grey shoes, and tied a black jacket around my waist.
I move to the bathroom and brush my hair. I fix it in a ponytail and slid on a black and orange headband. I go downstairs and put all my things in my backpack, such as my lightsaber, slingshot, and cobblestone.

After breakfast, I walk to the bus stop. After a few minutes, someone else shows up.

"Hey, Tina!!!" Goldy yells running towards me.

"Umm... Hi Goldy." I say trying escape from her grip. She pulls me closer to her and keeps lightly kissing my cheek. Although I was very annoyed, it felt nice to have her soft lips touch my skin.

"Hi, Guys!!" Ryan says walking up to us with UnicornMann.

"Ryan!! Unicorn!!" Goldy yells racing towards them, finally letting me go.

We wait a few more minutes for the bus to come. I planned on sitting next to Ryan like always, but UnicornMann beat me to it. To make things better the only open seat was next to Goldy.

I slowly sat down next to her, but she didn't seem to notice. She had earbuds in and was lip syncing. Let me tell you this girl was feeling it! She was nodding her head to the beat and swinging her arms every which way. I smile at her a little and feel my cheeks heat up. She looks at me and smiles. She pulls out an earbud and offered it to me. I took the earbud, but when my hand touched hers, a weird feeling shot from my hand to a lower part of my body. What was that? I shrug and start jamming with her.

When we finally make it to school, we all compare our schedules. I have most of my classes with Goldy expect fourth. The only class I have with Ryan and Unicorn is first period. Ryan suggests that Goldy and I should get along since we're going to be together most of the day. I sit in a seat and Goldy sits in the one next to me. Ryan and UnicornMann sit behind us. I look at Goldy and she looked bored and sleepy. I hope she knows she can talk to me, but I do give off bad vibes, soooo.

"So uh Goldy, how was your summer?" I ask her. She looks up at me surprised.

"Oh, it was fine." She responds and moves her hair out of her eyes.

"What did you do?" I ask again. She gives me a small smile.

"Well, I finally learned to swim." She said.

"That's good! Now we can go swimming as a group." I say.

"Yeah.." She says.

*Time skip*

At third period they assigned us lockers and with my luck today mine was next to yes you guessed it, Goldy. I mean what are the chances of me being with her all day. We leave the class to try and find it. My number was 34 and Goldy's was 36. When we find it, I see that UnicornMann's was 32 and Ryan's was 38.

After we settled everything in our lockers, we went to lunch. Ryan and Goldy got pizza. UnicornMann and I got chicken nuggets. It was fun to hang out with my friends for thirty minutes of the day. Unicorn and Goldy had to leave early to get to their next class on time so I was left with Ryan. I really wanted to tell him about the way I've been feeling around Goldy.

"Um Ryan, what does it mean to feel weird around someone?" I ask him.

"What do you mean?"

"Like sh-shy, and t-tingling, a-a-and hot," I say stuttering. Just thinking about her made me burn up. He starts laughing.

"Um, Tina sounds like you go a crush." He snickers.

"A CRUSH?!" I scream. We were outside so there weren't many people that could hear us.

"Yup!" He says continuing to eat.

"But I can't have a crush on Go-" I stop myself before I say something I regret. I can't let him know until I'm sure this is a crush.

"What was that?" He asked.

"Nothing!" I say. He looks down at his watch.

"I think it's time for us to get to class." He says.

"Yeah!"

We throw away our trash and walk in opposite directions. On my way to art, I passed the gym. Inside I see Goldy. I feel my cheeks warm up again. Why do I feel this way?
