"So tell me Jaebum, tell me, until when are we gonna go like this?"

[JENNIE X JAEBUM]

Blackpink's dating ban has been lifted off not two long years ago. Since then, not much things have changed. The members of Blackpink were just more aware and more relieved now that the ban is off. It means whenever the cupid strikes them with it's arrow, they won't have to worry about hiding their relationship with someone to anyone else.

That was what Jennie thought. Obviously. But things didn't go as she thought how it would go.

It all happened because of Jisoo. Jennie knew how outgoing Jisoo can be. When she started her emcee job at Inkigayo, she was very happy for her. She met many idols and befriend them. Jinyoung and Doyoung. They were the ones she was very very close with considering that they were her co-emcees.

It didn't go unnoticed by the media and the fans how close the two are. Jennie remembered how Jisoo would talk highly of her friends. Especially Jinyoung. But she knew that Jisoo knows better than to get her feelings involved so she assumed they were just best of friends.

When Jisoo's job at Inkigayo ended, Jennie was the one who comforted her friend. Along with the other members, of course. Jennie wouldn't admit, but she had been really fond of her friend's members. The stories that Jisoo would tell her, she was always looking forward to them. It was no secret that they were funny.

Years later, the legendary trio had their own reunion. It was just then that Jinyoung came back from another successful World Tour. And NCT was still soaring and doing well in charts as ever. Jisoo was happy for them.

Their meet ups became like a ritual every month. And that's how Jennie met Jisoo's friends and their friends.

But meeting them was such a struggle. They had to do it in secret. They weren't even complete that time. Doyoung and his members couldn't come because of their tight schedule. The members of Blackpink and GOT7 went through a lot of trouble just to have a night of friendly hang out together. They had to be careful of everything. One wrong move and they're out.

That's when Jennie met Jaebum. GOT7's rumored stone cold leader. She was really intimidated by him, seeing as he's always been serious. She had trouble talking to him compared to the other members who were really outgoing.

But all her worries disappeared when they actually made progress. He was kind and really gentle, she must say.

And all that lead to where they both are now. Jennie and Jaebum have been going on now for more than a year. Almost two years. And there have been no problem between them yet.

They let both their companies know about them just so that it would be easier for them to be together, not worrying about their manages finding out. But still not officially out. Only their company, their managers, and their members know. And Jennie was just about to be fed up of hiding it.

Jennie never brought it up since she thought it would only bring more stress to Jaebum and she didn't want that. She already knew how pressured he is being the leader and it didn't also help that their own schedules would not align. But truly, she was just looking for the perfect timing to tell him.

She found the courage when she made a visit to Jaebum's own home on a weekend. She planned to stay there until weekend was over because it has been weeks since she last saw him.

Jennie knocked on his door, completely dressed up. She had a cap, a pair of sunglasses, a mask, and even her hair was tied in a bun and was hidden inside her cap. This is only one of the reasons why she wants to stop all this hiding.

The door opened, revealing Jaebum with his cat. He let Jennie in, stepping aside for space. "You're all dressed up."

Jennie almost laughed. "Obviously."

Jaebum put his cat down, letting it wander around the house. "Want something to eat?"

"I'm good." Jennie didn't know if she sounded snappy but she wished she didn't. She knew that Jaebum would immediately detect her mood. He knew her like the back of his palm already.

"Is there a problem?" Jaebum asked her while she plopped down on his couch. Jennie contemplated. "I don't know..."

"There's something. Tell me about it." Jaebum turned off his television, he thought they could watch the replay of their favorite show later.

"I don't know, Jaebum. Aren't you tired?" Jennie asked. Jaebum didn't seem to catch what Jennie was trying to say.

So he asked. "Tired of what?"

"This. Everything about us." Jennie continued. She sunk even lower.

Jaebum was baffled. What is she talking about? "Are you trying to break up with me?"

"No! Where did you even get that idea. I am not. I'm just— what I am trying to say is, aren't you tired of always hiding? We have been doing this for almost two years now, Jaebum. Aren't you tired of how we should just always see each other when it's night time? Or whenever we think that no one's going to find out?" Jennie tried to sit up straight.

"Jennie, I thought we talked about this already—" Jennie cut him off.

"Yeah! But I thought it would be temporary. What is even holding you back from doing so? My dating ban has been lifted for two damn years already. And yours has been out for years also! Why is it that we can't just go out there and make it official." Jennie almost yelled.

"Why are we even talking about this, Jennie? You already know the answer. We can't because it would greatly affect both of our careers. We are idols Jennie. We can't just go out and make everything official without thinking this through." Jaebum retorted.

"But everything about this, our situation is just draining. We can't go out whenever we want to, we can't go publicly together, we can't do anything freely. So tell me Jaebum, tell me, until when are we gonna go like this?" Jennie talked back. She needed his answer.

"I don't know. We'll figure something out. It'll probably be soon. We need time to discuss this with our managements and we need to plan everything carefully." He took Jennie's hands.

"It'll be fine, we're going to be fine. We just need to find the right time to drop this bomb to everyone. I'm sorry if you have always felt this way, I'm sorry that we don't have freedom as much as other couples do. But this is what this relationship calls for. I'm sorry." Jaebum apologized. Tears run down Jennie's face as she silently cried to Jaebum's shoulder.

"Okay. I trust you. And I'm sorry for bringing it up again. It's just getting to my head recently." Jennie explained and wiped her tears.

"It's okay, I understand. And why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want to add stress to you. You had enough dealing with your group as their leader, the least I could do is to not give you any more problems." Jennie said with a smile.

"You won't cause me stress. But next time, tell me okay? And we'll figure it out." Jaebum placed a kiss on Jennie's forehead.

"Okay." And she believed that they would be all right. Just wait for the perfect time.

I don't even know what is this, pardon me. This idea just suddenly came to my head and I wrote it. I have a feeling that the whole book is going to flop. Sigh.
