"Hinata!"

"Run boy, it's dangerous!"

"Please Hinata, don't go further! Walk out the door and never come back!"

"It's for your own good Neji"

"Hinata!"

"What's happening? Father! Mother!" Hinata screamed. She ran through the Hyuuga compound which was seemingly empty and dark, searching for her family members. She passes her cousin Neji's room, and he came out, rubbing his eyes blearily in confusion.

"Hinata?" He peered at her curiously. "What's going on?"

She wailed in frustration. "I don't know! Come on!" She pulled his arm and they took off down the hall. They approached her sister's room. "Hanabi? HANABI!"

Neji opened door, standing in front of Hinata as if to sheild her from the sight that he expected awaited them. Though looking around, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, until the stench of blood hit his nose. He wrinkled his nose in distaste and felt a warm liquid touch his bare feet. Looking down, he noticed a pool of blood lapping at their feet. They both looked to the side and saw Hanabi laying facedown in a pool of blood, possibly her own. Her long brown hair was matted with the sticky substance, and the blood seemed to be leaking out of the ghastly slash in her stomach.

Hinata gasped and rushed over to her sister's prone body, Neji following. Dropping to her knees, the blood soaked through her pale blue nightgown, coating it with the red liquid. Neji kneeled beside her, his eyes wide with horror. Flipping the body over, they looked into the pale eyes of Hanabi Hyuuga.

"Hanabi," Hinata let out a pained whimper. "Hanabi!"

"Hinata, Neji," Hanabi croaked weakly. She lifted a trembling hand to her sister's face. "I must....tell you something. Listen."

They both leaned closer to Hanabi's face, trying to hear her last whispers. "Our father was a terrible man. He lied to us about everything. Mother and Uncle Hizashi were in on it too. The truth is, Uncle Hizashi created a business under father's name, that Uncle Hizashi would run for him. Father was really a drug lord, one of the main figures in the underground drug dealing ring. He got cocky and messed with the wrong people, and now we're paying the price."

Neji gasped. What in the word was Hanabi talking about? "What do you mean, Hanabi? What people?"

"The Akatsuki," Hanabi breathed, her face paling from loss of blood. "Father thought he could outsmart one of the top dogs in the industry, but he was a fool. They've come for us. You two, you must go. They let you live since you were unaware, but I knew. I'm so sorry, little sister, little cousin." She began breathing in short, shallow breaths.

"Hanabi!" Hinata shouted, tears pooling in her eyes and spilling down her cheeks. "Stay here, I'll get some bandages! You can't die!" She tried to move to grab a first aid kit, but Hanabi grabbed her hand.

"No," she shook her head. "I know I won't make it. I held on this long to tell you this. Hinata, I love you so so much, but I need you to live. You and Neji are my two favorite people in the world, and I need you to listen to your cousin." She reached for Neji's hand and held it tightly. "Neji, you must protect Hinata and yourself. Go now, and live freely, where the Akatsuki cannot find you."
