DappleStone walked through a dim forest, barly any light was able to filter through the thick canopy.  She lifted her muzzle to taste the air, but what she breathed in made her stummble.

Blood. Death. And other, foul smells. Around her, the forest seemed to change. The trees looming over her, the once crisp ground, swamped. The peaceful fireflis, turned to maggots on the ground.  Dapplestone lifted her paw, wet, soggy mud fell of and clumped on the ground.

What.... What happened to my beautiful home? Dapplestone looked around franticly for a sign that her home was still there. A sign of life, a signof the happiness the forest brought her.

She looked at the ground, and found 4 unshrivled leaves. When she took a pace tward them, the first shrivled. Another step. The second shrivled. Dapplestone wispered, why is the forest dieing? Once more, Dapplestone steped foward. The third shrivled, leaveing her standing over one, unshrivled leaf.

Starclan? Dapplestone wispered, What does this mean?

Dapplestone was startled by the reply: Thorns are sharp and cunning, they will puncture all you love.

Dapplestone cried out, What do you mean?!

The wispers faded, and she yowled into the forest, Wait! Don't leave!

Dapplestone awoke in the warriors den, panting, her bedding was lumped to one side or the other, and she sat up, blinking at the rays of light peeping through the entrance. She glanced at the nest next to hers,

ThronThicket, She thought warmly, Dapplestone's beloved mate.

ThornThicket must have gone on dawn patroll, she thought, brave, strong ThornThicket.

Immidately, Dapplestone forgot about the dream, and pushed out of the den.

She was greeted by a half-filled clearing of cats, chattering away.

The medicne-cat apprintice, Fernwind, was sitting outside the medicne den happily, in greenleaf, every-cat was happy and content. She purred, the dream fadeing away.

It meant nothing, it was only a nightmare.

3 moons latter....

Dapplestone was walking through a forest, she had seen this place before.... Something about it wasn't right.

"Hello?" Dapplestone called out, puzzled. Dapplestone racked her brain, trying to recall where she knew this place from.

Dapplestone felt her hur rise, standing on end, her claws slid out. An eire wisper could be heard, just barly.

"Thorns are sharp and cunning, they will puncture all you love."

"No!"She cried out, "This is all a nightmare! This is not true, or real!" Dapplestone thought telling herself this would make her feel better, but it only helped the worm of unease sprouting in her belly grow.

Dapplestone dug her claws into the now swampy ground, gritting her teeth, it wasn't true. It COULDN'T be true. This was just another nightmare. A small voice inside her head said quietly, "Nightmares that repeat themselves?"

Around her, the leaves on the forest floor shrivled, and she was jerked awake.
