Crystal sat at the large marble table in Hannah's living room. She was staring down at her lap, she felt uncomfortable in such a huge house. Hannah was pacing the floor. She was racking her brain, trying to figure out what to do.
"Have you called the police?" Hannah asked.
"Yes. They're searching, but this is bigger than a little search party," Crystal said. She bit her lip. "Caspar isn't just some regular person..." she trailed off.
"What do you mean?" Hannah turned toward the girl sitting at her dinning table. This was the first time they were meeting in real life and it wasn't how Hannah had pictured it. Now that she thought of it, how had Crystal even found her in the first place?
"Look," Crystal began, "I know we lost touch 7 and half years ago, we all did, but Caspar and I remained friends." She looked down. "Caspar was older than us. When she turned 18 she got a job. But not just any job, she was working for the government. She was some sort of secret agent."
She scoffed. "Bull crap!" Hannah slammed her hands on the table, causing Crystal to jump. "This is my first time meeting you in real life and this is what you tell me? That Caspar is some sort of spy?" Hannah let out a cackling laugh. "How am I supposed to believe crap like that? I mean, how did you even find me? I'm beginning to think you're some sort of stalker."
Crystal rolled her eyes. "I know it's hard to believe, but I'm telling the truth! Before Caspar disappeared she sent me a package telling me everything about her job, and in that package are specific instructions she's asked me to follow. One of them being to find you and tell you everything. She had your address in there as well as a few others. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm telling the truth."
"Okay, so Caspar is the stalker."
Crystal stood up, shaking her head. She was disappointed. "I knew I shouldn't have come here. I knew you wouldn't believe me. You were the reason we grew apart anyway," she spat.
"We grew apart because you didn't like how popular I was becoming!"
"Not everything is about you, Hannah!"
Lighting, it cracked and flashed and thunder sent a loud boom rolling through the sky. Hannah heard a window crash, a loud thump followed. It sounded like it came from her living room. She sent a scared look at Crystal who stood frozen. In a moment, the both of them rushed to the living room.
The big glass window was shattered, rain was rushing in through the big hole. Glass was everywhere, it was going to be a pain to clean up. In the middle of the floor was a brick.
Hannah bent toward it, the brick had a note attached. She carefully untied the note and opened it. The note read:
THE WITCH IS COMING. YOU CAN TRY TO HIDE, YOU CAN TRY TO BAND TOGETHER, BUT NO MATTER WHAT THE WITCH WILL END YOU.
