Chapter 9

School was a nightmare, everyone kept calling me physco. I was glad to be home, on my bed was a small letter. I picked it up and ripped open the white envelope revealing a sheet of paper addressed to me it read,

Nicole P,

Meet me at the river in the park, get there as soon as possible. 

Do you want revenge?

-Unkown

I looked over at the clock, 4:15, I grabbed my phone and rushed down stairs.

"Nicole! Where are you going?" Maria was standing in front of the door with her hands on her hips, "It's late."

"I have to go and collect some work from one of my friends." She didn't move, "I will come back as soon as I can I promise." 

"We need to have a family meeting. So be quick." I pushed the door open, "Here, it's cold." Maria was holding a jacket.

"Arggg, Bye." I put the jacket on and made my way towards the forest.

All my instincts told me not to go back into the forest, but I didn't listen and did it anyway. I could feel my heart beat faster as I could start hearing the river splash over rocks. I freaked out even more when a loud cough erupted from behind me.

I turned over frantically and tripped over a tree root. I felt a hand catch me and I looked up, it was Cole, I stood up and turned around furthering my journey. I did not want to talk.

"Nicole, what are you doing in the middle of the woods?"

"I should ask the same to you."

"I got a letter, it told me to go to the river."

"Hu? You got one too? I mean, what a stupid decision, going into the woods because of a letter." We came to the waters edge and I sat on a log, pushing Cole out of the way after he tried to sit next to me.

And just as time it's self had planned this Chelsea appered in front of us. She looked normal but their was something in her eyes, revenge.

"Cole Jackson. Hello, we meet again lover. Well no more. Do you know how hard it is to have a boyfriend cheat on you? Or even witness it first hand?" She walked over behind me, "Or not because I would never do that to do. Would I?"

Chelsea stepped behind him and pulled out a knife, "awnser me!" She run the blade over her other hand, "You wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you would you?"

"No.." You could hear the fear in his voice. 

"Would I ever cheat on you?" 

"No."

"Then why did you cheat on me?"He scoffed, and as if it was instinc Chelsea pulled the knife to Cole's kneck and held it there. I turned around and covered my eyes, I couldn't believe this was happening to me.

"Cole, do you want to die?"
