If you had the power to change one person's life, how would you do it?

*warning, this one gets a little depressy*

If you had the power to change one person's life, how would you do it?

If I had a chance to change someone's life, without hurting someone else or hurting myself, I would probably help someone with no hope, or aspirations, find their drive and zest for life again.

It is easy to give up, many people already have, and many people in the future will. It is almost unavoidable, that eventually at some point, things will get so stressful or bad, that it is easier and more opportune to just stop caring.

In my life, I have had one or two times, that I was stuck at that cross roads. Do you go down the road with all of the hurdles? The one that you know will be harder and take more out of you in the end? Or, take the easy road, the one where everything stops being important, that you either get into a drug to stop feeling or self-destructs so hard and for so long, that you kill yourself? This decision is never easy to make.

As humans, we have a basic need to try and be better or achieve more. But with this, we also have a certain amount of BS that we can take before we reach this cross road. Sometimes, we have people around us, say our family or friends to help us push through the tough road and make the hurdles seem not so high, or the hills not as steep. But some of us, feel like, or actually, have no one. Sometimes it's a decision that you have to make. Continue fighting? Or give up? This is what I would change in someone's life.

To be able to take away this cross road. To let this person grow and continue to have the hope and strength to continue, even when it's not the easiest way. To be able to give some of my hope, or my strength to someone who feels like all hope is lost, or that no one cares, or will miss them. This is what I would change. Even for one person, to be able to either let them not to have to make that cross roads decision or when they are there, to be able to show them the hope. Or the light at the end of the tunnel. I would change someone's life, by showing them that their life is important, that they are important and that even if we just met, that I would miss them if they were gone.
