It's a warm Saturday afternoon in mid August and the residents of Weatherfiled are enjoying the sun that is making the cobbles shiner. Johnny and Jenny stand outside The Rovers happily as they watch the workers drill in the new sign, promoting the names of "Johnny Connor and Jenny Bradley" as new landlord and landlady of the gaff. Behind them, both Norris and Rita are standing outside the shop watching as the event unfolds.

"Isn't it lovely Norris? Love as great as there's" smiled Rita.

"Never mind their flaming love, they might as well stick that bloody sign up with blu tack the amount of times it changes" moaned, Norris as he swept the pavement surrounding him.

At the top of the street, Michelle and Robert cling onto each other with joy as they make their way into Viaduct Bistro.

"Hey you, before we go in..." smiled, Robert as he pulled her in closer and kissed her passionately with their bodies tightly together.

"No no, we've got work remember? It's time to be professional" giggled Michelle as she attempted to resist his passion for her.

"Oh my lord, have I been taken from my home and dropped off in love island or something?" moaned Norris once again as he glared towards the pair. "This is a public street you know? They are kids around?" shouted over, Norris.

"Oh Norris man!" signed, Rita as she whacked him on the shoulder with today's gazette.

"Lighten up Norris will you, this could be you one day!" yelled back, Michelle.

"God forbid it!" thanked, Norris as he watched both Robert and Michelle walk in the building in tears of laughter.

The kabab shop had hardly any customers so far today. Both Chesney and Gemma were bored to death as they slouched across the counter.

"I don't understand. We usually get many customers on a daily basis, how many have we even had today?" asked Chesney curiously.

"I stopped counting after two." signed Gemma repeatedly.

Then, Dev slowly paces himself in the shop. Making eye contact towards Gemma and Chesney, he begins to become confused.

"What are you two doing here?" smiled, Dev.

"We're roasting chickens - what do you think we're doing?" broadcasted, Gemma.

"Gemma, lower your voice." told, Chesney.

"I sent you both a message telling you that we were closed today as you were requesting a day off as you kids wanted to.. and I quote.. "chilax" nervously explained, Dev.

"We never got any messages!" Informed, Chesney with Gemma nodding to agree to his spoken statement.

Dev becomes slightly more confused and quickly searches through his phone to locate the messages he apparently sent them.

"Oh! Don't suppose it comes up on you're phones saying 'not delivered' by any chance?" showing his phone as he laughs quietly.

"Yeah, that's the part where you hold on and send as a text message?" angrily stated, Gemma.

"Ahh, that does now make sense. These phones eh? Who'd have them?" laughs Dev.

Both Gemma and Chesney throw their work outfits on the counter and storm out.

"Can't believe we've wasted almost a day in here! I'll be having tomorrow off to Dev!"
demanded Gemma as she and Chesney walked straight passed him.

"So I'll see you in the pub later?" announced Dev to them from the distance.
