"Home Jones." "Not so fast Coop" Hey grabbed me by the hand and pulled me to the center of the dance floor where Cheryl was dancing "What are you doing?" "I'm dancing with you
Cooper. What does it look like?" He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me in close. "Ready?" "I guess" I said even though I would never be ready. He started to twirl me around him and he pulled me back in. I never knew he could dance. He was truly talented. We danced for an hour. Then he convinced me to have a drink which turned into 10 drinks. According to Kevin I was pretty drunk. Everyone got into the pool at that point, even Jug. All the girls had one pieces of their chose. I practically ripped off my dress and ran in. From there it's all a blur. The only thing I do remember is Jughead taking me home. He gently set me down on my pastel pink Bed. He even pulled my blanket over me. He kissed me on my forehead as I started to drift off.I woke up the next morning with a mild hangover. I looked through my phone and I saw the after math. I literally was practically naked the whole night. Right in front of Jughead too. Way to go Betty! I walked down stairs to eat breakfast when I saw my mom with an empty bottle in her hands. "Where were you Elizabeth!?" "I was at the party mom, like I told you." My mother got up and walked toward me in a 'not' good way. "Never Agian!" She slapped me. I ran upstairs crying. I looked in my mirror and I saw the purple hand print plastered on my face like paint. I started sobbing. My mascara from the night before started to run. "What did I do?" I kept crying until I thought of the tree house. The tree house sat between me and Archie's house. I climbed down the "decorative" ladder next to my window. I ran across my backyard and up the ladder prices to the top. I sat down on the ground. I stated crying. I must have sat there for 2 hours. I kept crying until I heard someone climbing up the ladder. "W-who is it?" I said semi-quiet. Then I say his face climbing up. He climbed inside the tree house. "You come here too?" "Yeah." "Why are you crying?" "Just forget you ever saw me." "No Betty. Why are you upset. I care." He said as his hand cupped my face. In that moment I trusted him more than I did Polly. "My mom has officially tipped off the edge. She-She" I started to sob again. He pulled me in close and held me as a cried. "I am so so sorry Betty. Mines nothing compared to yours." "What is it,Jug?" "My dad started drinking again. Bad too" For the first time in my life I saw Jughead cry. "I-it's b-b-ad" I embraced him with my arms. He accepted my act of hugging him. "I am so so sorry Jug" We must have sat there and cried for hours. "ELIZABETH!" My mother called from our back door. "I-I have to go Jughead. Meet me here tomorrow ok?" "Ok Coop" I turned around and climb down the ladder. "Yes mom?" I said as a approached her. "NEVER AGAIN" She slapped me again on the other side of my face. "I-I'm Sorry" I ran up to my room crawled in my bed, wrapped up in my blanket. I looked out the window and say Jughead leave the tree house smiling. I wonder why he was so happy? Hopefully he meets me there. I rolled over as the sun started to set and I saw something on my vanity. I got up and looked at it it had a note attached. "Hope you don't mind. I dropped this off for you after the party-Jug" I opened the crappy blue tissue paper wrapping. It was a book of anyomous poems. I read them until the sun went down. I drifted off on this poem
"Some May play you,
some may break you,
but one Loves you"
When I woke up the next morning I pulled on my pink shirt and my jeans and boots and I walked downstairs. "Mom?" "Yes Betty?" "Can I go to Pop's today?" "Be Back before 6:00 tonight. If not I slap you again" "yes mom"
I climbed out window down to the treehouse once again. This time Jughead was waiting for me. "Hey Betty" "Jug..do you want to go to Pop's instead of this Hell-Hole?" "Yeah. My motorcycle is on the next corner." "Let's go before my mom yells for me. We hoped out of the treehouse. And ran around the corner like we were 5 again. He hoped on his motorcycle and gave me his helmet. "You know I've never rode one of these before, right?" "Yeah.Hop On" I was very nervous. "Go slow ok?" "It's actually more dangerous if we go slow." He started the engine. "You're gonna wanna to hold on tight." I held on as tight as my hands could hold. For once I was happy. I loved life. We started to approach Pop's when we took a right instead of a left into the parking lot. "Where are we going?" "You'll see"
