"Megs come on stop playing with your food and eat your dinner" Katie said to her daughter who was currently smearing her mash and beans into her tray on her high table.

"Can't we just feed her" Ally whined, looking at the mess her daughter was making. This had been happening for months now nd Megan still seen dinner time as some sort of art class.

"No I read it somewhere we have to encourage her to feed herself and let her use her hands" Katie said and Ally smirked at her wife.

"Since when do you get time to read" Ally teased as she picked up her empty dinner plate and then Katie's and walked over to the dishwasher and began loading it.

"I have time when it concerns our daughters learning techniques and if she wants to make a mess well then we let her..you'll be thanking me in a few years when she becomes a brain surgeon" Katie replied and took a sip of her wine. Ally couldn't help but laugh at what her wife had just said.

"A brain surgeon aye?" Ally asked raising and eye brow and then looked over at her daughter who now had mash shoved up her little nostril.

"I will believe it, when I see it" Ally laughed and Katie shook her head and smiled.

They had enjoyed a nice relaxing evening together after both working early shifts at the hospital. They tried being around their daughter and each other as much as they could. Another one of Katie's top parenting tips was it was important to have "family bonding" time. This meant a walk with Megan in the buggy and the two of them shattered after being on their feet all day heading to the park close by to see the ducks.

Megan was growing up so quick and apart of Ally wished she was off work more to see her daughter more often but she was trying her best. Shel loved having Megan over and Ally felt at ease knowing that Shel was the one looking after their daughter.

It was now Thursday evening and only 4 days since Lynne started working with them at the hospital. Ally told Katie about her coming into her office which only aggravated Katie even more but Ally was not holding anything back this time. She had nothing to hide from her wife and she wanted Katie to know about any encounters even if it did rile up Katie the wrong way.

Luckily for Lynne, Katie didn't bump into the other surgeon at all since Monday. They had both been busy with scheduled surgeries and Ally was pleased considering how worked up Katie was. In relation to Katie and Ally well they were passed what had happened on Monday but Ally was still hurt over the pregnancy test fiasco.

Katie apologised a couple of more times that day but Ally still felt a sense of hurt. She couldn't help think about, what if Katie was pregnant that day and she missed out on finding out with her. She decided it was best to move forward considering Katie had seemed more quieter than usual and told Ally she booked another appointment with the hospital for when she worked out what suited her ovulation calendar.

Ally was so excited of the idea of another baby, of course she was. However the blonde couldn't help worry about Katie and how stressed she seemed about the whole thing. Maybe her work was causing too much stress and effecting her fertility chances or maybe something else was going on that they didn't know about. Either way Ally couldn't help but worry about her wife and decided that maybe a night out in Ruby's with her friends this weekend would help her relax a bit.

"So you are definitely not on call this weekend?" Ally asked as she closed the dishwasher and brushed her hands off with the back of her jeans.

"Nope I'm all yours baby" Katie smiled and placed Megan's spoon in hand to try and encourage her to eat to mash stuck to it.

"Good because we are going out tomorrow night and you are not bailing" Ally said holding up her hand to stop her wife who's mouth hung open ready to argue.
