The Grey Town

The Beginning

I never thought this would happen. Someone so happy and bright and full of joy. Never how I thought this could be. You see there is this building by my house no one goes in and no one has come out. Everyone was always told me not to go into this building. Everyone told stories about people going in and coming out but one day that just stoped. The last person that went in there never came out. I did not care what people said  I wanted to go inside. So one day I did go inside. I walked up 4 flits of stairs and saw this door. It was an unusual door, so big and round. It had a big sign saying 'DO NOT ENTER' but I don't listen to rules you see. So I go through this door.  I walk into a dimly dark room. Wet and cold and I'm not able to see 5 ft in front of me.

 I yell "Hello" to see if anyone is there. All I here is drip drip drip. I say again "Hello is anyone there?" But again there was no answer. Just drip drip drip. I realize I must be a loan. I don't like being alone I never have. 

Until I saw this tall figure come out from the dark. This man I saw was very tall, handsome and had black pants with a white shirt and along coat going down to his ankles. He had a grin on his face and waved me over. He said "Come here  little child. Come here I have something to show you." I followed him to another door. He told me to open it. And so I did. And what awaited on the other side I was a bit frightened. This place so bland everyone looks so sad. Every one was wearing the same clothes. The women in a black dress and white shoes. The men in black shirts and pants and white shoes. The houses were black, the sky was Grey. I wondered what is this place. 

The man told me "Come this way" I followed him. As I looked around everyone was so lifeless so out of place. I asked the man "What is this place and why is everyone so sad?" 

He smiled and looked at me. "This town used to be so full of life, children running in the streets so happy and joyful, not a care in the world. In this town everybody new everybody. Everything and everyone was cheerful and joyful. The grass was green the sky bright blue." Then he frowned. "Until one day this Man came to town." 

"He made all these rules saying "No one can laff. No one can smile, everyone must be exactly the same." We where all sad that day. Until we heard this story of this girl who would come through this door. A girl who looked different then everyone else. You are the first girl we have seen in that room In 20 years. Since he came to our town. "

He led me to this house and we went inside.
