A yawn escaped Inuyasha as he stretched, his ears twitching in the process. The arms around his waist tightened as he looked up only to meet golden eyes that belonged to....Sesshomaru.

What was Sesshomaru doing here?! And where were his haori and hakama!? Looking around desperately, the hanyou let out a relief sigh when he spotted his clothes underneath a tree. Wait! If his clothes were underneath the tree..... that meant..he was naked! I have to get out of here! Inuyasha slightly flinched when he was pulled closer to the solid chest, "You're not thinking of running away from me again, are you?" A deep voice growled seductively into his ear. "No...I wasn't planing to" Inuyasha whispered, shivering when warm hands gently caressed his cold body.

Suddenly a loud grumble came from Inuyasha's stomach. The cheeks slowly went bright pink. "I forgot...I haven't eaten..." Inuyasha stammered. Rising up from his position, Inuyasha looked around. "There's a river nearby" Sesshomaru muttered, rising up.  His bare, strong built chest caught the early morning light. 

"Oh, thanks" Inuyasha muttered, quickly slipping his kimono over his cold body, Inuyasha looked up at the clear, blue sky. I hope Kagome and the others are nearby, Inuyasha prayed sliently. 

Feeling hot breath on his neck, Inuyasha turned around to meet golden eyes. " Don't think about running away " Sesshomaru growled. Inuyasha rolled his eyes, "Why do you keep saying that?". Sesshomaru smirked before leaning in until his nose was touching Inuyasha's. "Because I know you, I'm not an idiot, like you" Sesshomaru said with a hint of amusement. Inuyasha flushed.

"Shut up, you don't know me" Inuyasha said angrily, getting up. He wasn't an idiot. Stupid Sesshomaru. "Inuyasha" Sesshomaru's voice made the hanyou turn around. "I hope this relationship can work between us". There was slight pause. "I can't stop loving you" Sesshomaru softly whispered. Inuyasha turned away. Missing the flash of hurt in the daiyokai's eyes

"Look, I never wanted to be  mated", why would anyone want to mate with me? I'm a hanyou" Inuyasha said bitterly.

"What about that girl?"

"Kagome? No, I don't lover her in that way, I love her in as a friend or sister, but I think she loves me...."

Sesshomaru's yokai flared at this. 

Shaking his head, Inuyasha smiled, "I'm going to the river now". And then the hanyou was gone.

At the river....

Dipping his hands into the cool, water, Inuyasha looked around. It was all quiet, only the sound of the soft singing of the birds could be heard. A white butterfly fluttered by.  Quickly spotting a dark shadow gliding underneth the water, Inuyasha quickly swiped at the water. A fish landed at his feet.  "Finally, something good to eat" Inuyasha muttered.

A soft, light breeze came through, suddenly the hanyou felt something wet on his cheeks. Tears? Why was he crying? Demons never cry....Then, he knew why, the feeling of been abandoned, the feeling of been used, the sadness of been alone for so long. The past was too hard to forget. Inuyasha too caught in his past that he didn't notice or sense the dark, tall figure standing in the green, lush foliage, watching him with golden eyes.

"I'm back! Just like I promise!" Inuyasha announced as he entered the clearing. Suddenly he felt a gush of wind on his face before something heavy brought him into a tight embrace. "What are...". 

Let's forget the past and move on" Sesshomaru whispered softly into the dog-shaped ear. His finger ran along the faint line of the moon-shaped mate mark on Inuyasha's neck.

Feeling the tears building up in his eyes(again), Inuyasha buried his head into the soft fabric of Sesshomaru's white kimono. "I'm sorry....I can't...it's too hard...I can't forget the feeling of been abandoned, the feeling of been used, the feeling of been alone for so long". 

Suddenly grabbing the hanyou's chin, Inuyasha looked up, Sesshomaru's eyes were emotionless. "I'll never abandon you,, Inuyasha, or use you " Sesshomaru said coldly, his eyes flashed red, Inuyasha flinched. "But you need a heir..." Inuyasha said. The daiyokai's eyes softened, his hand caressing Inuyasha's cheek. "I don't need a heir or another mate" Sesshomaru whispered, leaning in closer and closer until his lips were hovering over Inuyasha's. 

"But...why?" Inuyasha asked softly, Sesshomaru's hot breath was making him dizzy. His own yokai was starting to lose it. 

"Because.....", 

Sesshomaru smiled. 

"I have you as my mate, forever"

Then, his warm lips came in to meet with pink lips.
