Naruto and Sasuke sage story

War begins

(Naruto)

"It's time" Shikamaru said

"Yeah is everyone in place?" Naruto asked

"Yeah" Sai said

"Then let's the celebration commence" Naruto said before cheering started.

Everyone was partying and drinking and dancing happily while Naruto sat on his throne as he watched everyone partying in the square when Sasuke walked up to him

"Hey Sasuke why aren't you participating in the celebration" Naruto said as Sasuke sat beside him

"Same reason you aren't" Sasuke said

"It's weird our blood clones seems to know our friends better than we do" Naruto said

"They've been with them for five years while we on the other hand haven't seen them on friendly terms in eight years" Sasuke said

"I guess you're right." Naruto said.

"We should do what we do best and prepare for the war" Sasuke said

"Okay let's go" Naruto said

"And what about Shikamaru?" Sasuke asked

"Let him enjoy the party. He hasn't spent time with Temari in two months" Naruto said as he looked at Shikamaru and Temari playing with Mirai with Kurenai keeping an watchful eye on Mirai

Naruto and Sasuke went to the castle and walked straight to the office

"Right now. Every squad is celebrating us conquering all the minor villages. But the war starts tomorrow. So let's recap" Naruto said

"Tomorrow all their forces should be marching to the designated location to start the war but we're going to attack while they're still divided" Sasuke said

"That's the plan but that's also a plan for tomorrow" Shikamaru said walking into the room

"Shikamaru what are you doing here?" Naruto asked

"Shouldn't you be enjoying the party" Sasuke said

"I was until I looked up and saw the Uzukage wasn't there" Shikamaru said

"You know why we weren't" Sasuke said

"Yeah but doesn't mean you can skip this. Remember a good leader is someone that is that close enough to his people to relate to them and far enough to motive them" Shikamaru said making the duo smile

"And right now we're focusing on motivating them" Sasuke said before Shikamaru sighed before cracking a smile

"Well that's the case I'll motivate as well" Shikamaru said as he reached for an sake bottle in an hidden cabinet

"Where did that come from?" Naruto asked

"Trust me. I hide these all over the village" Shikamaru said

"Oh the struggles of a girlfriend" Naruto said

"Fiancée" Shikamaru said

"No way!" Naruto yelled

"Never thought you'd get married" Sasuke said

"Yeah and I never understood why girls like you. Especially your girlfriend" Shikamaru said

"They're not our girlfriends" Sasuke said

"Those clones are copies of you right but they are dating them so there's obviously something about them you guys would fall for" Shikamaru said

"Come on forget all that stuff. When did you ask?" Naruto asked

"Just a minute ago. They're all having a drink down there" Shikamaru said
