I arrived at the police station, within 15 minutes of hanging up. Walking into the police station I sighed, unfortunately, in the past couple of years I had become a regular in this place. Most of the officers and other staff members knew me by name.

I had now been waiting for over an hour for Constable Hayes, to come talk to me about my father and Blake. Bev couldn't give me any details. She said, all she knew was that they had been picked up for fighting. It wasn't good and they were waiting for a Detective Baker to come in.

So here I am in my hot pink pjs with white stars, a black tank top and black fluffy Ugg boots. My hair an absolute mess and I haven't even had enough caffeine yet. The kids were curled up in chairs sound asleep.

I was reading a book, from my kindle app on my phone, when the door suddenly opens and in walks a tall buff guy, with dark wavy hair, a little on the long side. He was wearing dark jeans and black dress shirt opened, over a white t-shirt. Cowboy boots completed the look. He was ruggedly handsome, even with the slight bruising and split lip. He smiled and nodded his head as he walked past. He stopped at the reception desk and was talking to Bev.

I can hear Blake, laughing his ass off and yelling out the back.

He was so stupid, why couldn't he just keep his mouth shut?

Blake was getting louder and causing more of a scene, I couldn't hear what was being said exactly but he wasn't happy.

But then Blake never was happy. If things weren't to his likings, he went off. If I wasn't at home when he turned up, he went off. If the house wasn't clean enough, he went off. Sometimes it was just emotional abuse, other times he got physical. He liked everything to be just his way. I always tried to make sure it didn't affect the kids.

Constable Hayes walked out the side door and approached the man at reception, shaking his hand. Constable Hayes was an older guy of average height, solid build with short light brown hair. They both looked my way before walking over to me.

"Savannah, I'm sorry you've been called down here and that we've kept you waiting for so long. I'd like you to meet Detective Baker, he was the one that brought your father and Blake in" So the handsome guy is the detective they were waiting for. Hmm

"It's nice to meet you" I sheepishly said eyeing him up and down trying not to get caught

"Likewise," Detective Baker said.

"Ok Constable, Detective can you please tell me what they have done, I've been here for hours now and nobody has told me a damn thing, I had to bring my kids in, at 3 am, if I had of known I was going to be here for this long, I'd have waited and come in after school drop off"

"I understand that you're not happy right now"

"With all due respect Constable Hayes, No, you don't"

"Savannah, I'm to understand, your father is Isaac Morison and your boyfriend, is Blake Foster is this correct?" Detective Baker interrupted.

"Look this is all common knowledge, to everybody here. But Blake isn't my boyfriend, Detective" at this Constable Hayes walked over to the main desk and started talking to Bev while rustling through some papers.

"Ok nice to know," Detective Baker smiled "Blake started a fight with a few guys, your father jumped in as well. The fight started with Blake, publicly shamming a young man, for being gay. That young man, is now in the hospital. Blake, is looking at charges, as is your father."

Sitting down and putting my face in my hands I wanted to cry. They put a guy in the hospital? Oh My God! What if it ended up being me, or the kids in the hospital next? Shaking my head, and looking at Willow, Tyler and Kaden, I felt tears, running down my cheeks.

They were getting worse, I couldn't do this anymore.

How could I let my kids be a part of this world? How could I let them do this to me? I had to put the kids and myself first. Something had to change.

Do I have the strength and the courage to cut the ties? Could I walk away?
