Contest #2

Before introducing contest two, I have a little announcement that all Contest #1 participants should be aware of: as there aren't enough entries, the contest will be extended for another month, so you have plenty of time to improvise! Also, please take care to note that you are supposed to comment on the chapter of the contest, not the chapter titled Entries, thank you.

Genre: Fantasy

Theme: Myth

Prompt: Write a story involving a (or multiple) mythical creature(s). I know this prompt seems vague, but it really lets you run with your imagination. Please note that it has to be an existing mythical creature, not some weird poodle-duck you made up.

Word limit: There is no maximum word limit for this prompt. However, do not exceed five chapters or write less than one thousand words.

What I want: What I want to see is some world building and what features you imagine for the mythical creatures you choose. For example, if you choose elves as your mythical creature, you may always say that elves don't have pointed ears in your world as long as you don't take it too far and say they have scaly hides and horns.
