You must not fight too often with one enemy, or you will teach him all your art of war- Napoleon Bonaparte
Guests starting piling into the large room lite with a sparkly diamond chandelier. Most of the royal's were introduced like in the movie Cinderella. A butler would say their name and they would bow before walking down the long carpeted stairs into the ballroom. "Lady Caroline and Prince Arthur from South West Windsor Castle." The Butler's voice bellowed as two fair looking people sauntered down the stairs. A woman with brown curly hair which was pulled up in a faux bun greeted the King and Queen alongside her husband which had his fawn hair combed to the side, matching his ocean blue tuxedo and his canary coloured tie. I stood between a group of tables staring at a dancing couple which I presume was a father and his son. They looked so gratified, a jolt of anguish seeped through my body, I miss my father.... I miss my parents.... I miss my brother...... I sigh. I miss my family. "Princess Liora, King( whatever her dads name is) and Queen( anything) from (whatever the castle names is and where its located.) My attention shifted to her highness wearing a (do description of dress). The light from the chandelier reflected off the glitter of her dress, making her look even more like an angel. "Servant boy, why do I see you dawdling around and drooling at her highness, get the plates of food and put them on the banquet table right now!" A maid scowled at me and I grunted, moving quickly inside the kitchen. I guess Liora told everyone I was a "servant boy." That's all I've ever been all my life.
Luckily for me, Elansta got me out of it so I was able to spend a little time at the actual gala. Hopping across the dance floor like a puppy in distress was my idiotic brother- Gareth. He was puppy hopping his way towards Liora. I was about to go over to her, when a random girl hopped in front of me. "Hi I'm Celestia Andora, and I was hoping that I could have this dance?" she piped up, her lime green eyes searching my face for an answer. I peeked over her shoulder, seeing Liora with her hands around Gareth's neck, smiling. Celestia followed my gaze and sighed, "If you want to dance with her, it's okay I completely get it." I shook my head and smiled at her "No I would love to dance with you." I bowed holding out my hand for her to take. She graciously took it as I lead her towards the dance floor. Her night black hair matched the shade of my hair, causing me to smile a little more. "What are you smiling at?" She giggled, she must have noticed. Oops. "Nothing, um would it be weird for me to compliment you and say that you look gorgeous, " "Not at all," she looked up into my eyes, "we're friends now by all means, it's actually nice to hear someone other than royal's compliment me." I tilt my head, " Meaning?" "Well I'm a princess-" She started. "Really?! From where? What kingdom? Tell me more." I chattered like a chipmunk. "Rarity Diamond kingdom, South East of Ezra forest, my kingdom is overprotective of our jewels and diamonds, that's how we got our kingdom's name." She stops to think for a minute before continuing, " I'm more of a posh princess, sadly I don't know very much about the outside world except for books, scrolls and stupid princess duties." Well it seems like princesses don't like their jobs.
"Tell me about yourself." "Well my name's Anakin," I thought for a moment, I can't say much without spilling too many of my secrets, "both of my parents are dead, my brother is dancing with princess Liora, and I am only taken care of by my butler, Francis. I have no royal blood in me whatsoever and somehow I ended up as her highness's bodyguard." I finished realising that my fingers were entwined with Celestia's. She eyed our fingers suspiciously before removing her hand, "Sorry," she stammered, adding ," about your parents." I shook her unnecessary apology away, "Not your fault, I just wish things could be right with my brother and I." I paused, I can't believe I'm saying all this to a stranger. Not even Liora knows as much. She decided to let the subject drop there as we continued dancing. "What's your hobbies?" I ask curious to know. "Well you're going to think I'm deviating, but I do research on elves and dragons. I love how they're connected to each other and how they have this life long bond, this friendship, that keeps them close together." Her gaze shifted to my feet and I assumed she was nervous. Is she- one of them.. "No need to be nervous, Liora and I believe in them too. We can create a stupid little clan or something." She giggled, "Yeah that would be strangely enjoyable."
I had hoped to take Celestia to my "special place" some day so that at least she could get a break of her castle and her posh like duties. Just then-
- Liora spun out of Gareth's grip, unexpectedly becoming partners with me whilst Celestia became Gareths. "So I see you met my best friend?" Liora smirked, "you two look cute together." Hold on what?! I stopped, best friend?! That's worse than I thought. Cute together?! But.... "Uh yeah, she's nice." I pushed out, backing up a bit, "I need some water, be right back." I left, feeling upset. I don't think Celestia and I would be cute.

After running back and forth to refill the empty plates of food on the banquet table, I blew out a large amount of air and collapsed into a chair inside the mini closed in kitchen. "There be no time for rest, get up boy, don't let your mind shut down, always be alert." Elansta pointed to the counter where I had to salt and pepper the food. My eye twitched as I got up, suddenly my attention was pulled towards a vial of green liquid sitting on top of the shelf. Looks like poison if I could say. But why is it in the kitchen. Maybe the food was poisoned. My eyes widened, shit. Food poisoning? Who would do that... you would only attempt to do that if you wanted everyone to drop dead. Fuck.
